Prince Ali decommited. Didn't Mo Harkless originally sign with UCONN and then decommit?
 
Without mentioning specific names, if Ollie is fired now, I can see only two players out of the guys currently on roster or signed being 100% to stay. Two. Do we want that?

They can literally lose Jalen Adams. If there is anyone on the team that can pull a Kemba or Bazz it's him. If you give Ollie another year, Adams is probably gone regardless and you can evaluate things at that time.

Man its really tough right now. You are a rational guy so I am not saying this is necessarily a hot take. Somehow Ollie has managed to make the best off-season assistant coach hire and still set his seat on fire. I just want to know whats going on. People don't talk much about this but Jalen sticking in the draft and going to the D League isn't a stretch. He is going to declare and probably won't sign an agent but we will all freak out regardless. If all the rumors come true we could potentially look at a returning roster of a bum knee Mama and TL coming off an ACL. Crazy. But at the same time, as I mentioned, a few decent pickups could make this squad a serious sleeper tournament team for next year. I am just ranting. The only thing giving me solace is the trust I have in AD David Benedict. He is not afraid of making of making the tough choices. If things get even worse (and I can't believe I am saying this) and we have the chance to hire a former coach from St. Benedicts, I am all in. Its really hard right now to make any type of prediction without worrying about getting a ton of egg on the face since this team could legitimately be very good next year and set up for the future if a few things break right.

The reality is that Ollie is on the clock now. Another disaster of a season and he is absolutely fireable. I'm rooting for him and hoping there is a plan but it's tough to be optimistic with all that we've seen.

at this point nothing has gone right besides one hire. it's all about the players. if we don't have any, might as well nuke it all and start over.

I'm willing to give KO next year but it does seem like the there is something really wrong behind the bench with all these people leaving the UCONN program. KO needs to put up or shut up next season as far as I'm concerned.
 
I wonder if Chillious took the job thinking he might have a head coaching job if Ollie can't get it together next year?

Edit: just want to say I like Ollie and think he's a good coach, and think we will come out of this okay as a program. But Chillious is a smart guy and this is a brutal business.

Yea they aren't really comparable. Diaco was possibly the worst coach in the last several years of college football. And a clown. Ollie still has a ton going for him. I just hope we get to see it.

Do we have any proof that a certain someone is leaving? Other then someone removing uconn from there Twitter account and saying they want a home cooked meal. Are we jumping the gun?

well, apparently the players and prospective recruits don't see it, either. this is really, really bad. anyone who doesn't see that is just plugging their ears and covering their eyes
