Thanks for digging that up. I wasn't sure if Navy was still CBSSN or if those rights eventually melted into being part of AAC TV package. Army, Navy, UConn. Nice way to keep northeast and mid-atlantic connected.

Should also make scheduling Army and Navy for the future easier too.

But so were all the other AAC teams... If we can now poach better players because we are on national TV vs AAC and others who are moving to ESPN+ paywall, that could create more wins, which will increase attendance, and therefore more $$$ and better exposure for the program.

Money has to come out at some point correct since it's a public institution? Or can they somehow skirt that because Learfield, a private entity, is handling this?

As been pointed out by others on twitter - the CBS deal should help us lure in a better home schedule. I am not expecting a major step forward - but for some programs on the fence about a H & H series this has to be a big boost.

I think the key is this deal is 1/3 the time of the AAC deal. We improve we can ask for might command more money in a shorter period of time.

Can't interpret this deal in any way other than as a big net positive for the football program as compared to expectations when we left the AAC. Congratulations to AD DB - between this and his work on the scheduling front, he's definitely not thinking of football as the red-headed stepchild of the UConn athletics program that many of us feared it would become.
