Not meAnd people forget Maya too.
Not meAnd people forget Maya too.
DT's three-point success rate at UConn was 39 percent. Her overall shooting was 47 percent, the same as Caitlin. She not even a 40% 3pt shooter...
Is there a highlight of it anywhere? Asking genuinely because the few times I have watched CC play I haven’t seen it.Oh, yeah, Maple, I have seen Caitlin do just that, and more than once. the myth that she either doesn't play defense or doesn't hustle on defense is just that. What happened vs. LSU wasn't within her control. The team plan dictated she keep her distance from three-point shooters, plus she was early saddled with fouls. That team plan didn't age well, did it?
Sure, but that's not GOAT. Maybe he's in for GPGOAT.If the category is shooter he is probably no. 1 of all time. As to point guard he is top 5 ever.
Well your standard of she looks really good is pretty ridiculous too. At least my standard has some measurables.I’m kidding you. But your standard is ridiculous. One player, not Taurasi, not Moore, not Stewart, nor any other great player can single-handedly do a damn thing to win a title . I can make a case that Clark has brought her team to accomplish something few other players could bring a similar group of teammates to do. Unlike UConn and virtually all other national champs, the Iowa roster is not stacked with three or more very highly regarded high school players. Good for sure, but not a single other one that can step in and worry other good teams They need Clark to play great every game to be beyond average. UConn was viewed as a possible NC this year without Paige and with a banged up group. Without Clark Iowa was maybe a bubble team.

For some you on here, there seems to be a huge disconnect between a very, very good, great, tremendous player and GOAT. There are lots of really good, great players. There is only 1 GOAT, and only a couple of names in the conversation for GOAT.
Take UCONN WBB for instance. Bird, Lobo, Charles, Abrosimova, all great, great players. But none of them are in the conversation for GOAT for UCONN WBB. That's reserved for DT, Moore and Stewart.
Face it, you are applying a team standard to an individual. Its an impossible “measurable” for an individual to meet. Moreover, Clark is playing at a time when there are a few other impact players like Bueckers and Boston who both happen to have way better supporting casts. And Clark got her pretty limited team to the final wheras Boston didn’t. So use your “measurable”. I’ll use my eyes.Well your standard of she looks really good is pretty ridiculous too. But forget NCs, since you don't seem to think they mean much. Clark only has 1 NPOY award. All the conversation players I've mentioned have multiple NPOY awards. Without counting NC's (the most important thing to all most all players, but not you) Clark still isn't in the conversation for GOAT.
Face it, your "she looks good to me" is and irrelevant standard (let alone ridiculous).
And you have nothing measurable to prove that. While I do.And as great as they all are, Clark is as good or better than any of them. Don't trust me....listen to Magic Johnson who has forgotten more about this stuff than you and I know.
Again, ridiculous. But if that's the way you choose to be, I can't help you. I've given you all the facts, you just don't like 'em.Face it, you are applying a team standard to an individual. Face it! I‘m giving you logic. If it’s not your strong suit, I forgive you. Go Huskies. .Again, ridiculous. But if that's the way you choose to be, I can't help you. I've given you all the facts, you just don't like 'em.
