This statement is silly. Wildly silly. She is a great guard and had the best year in college basketball this year. But she has pretty big holes in her game, include but not limited to defense and her mid range game which is almost non-existent at this moment in time. Yes she is excellent at hitting contested three's from distance. That doesn't maker the best player that has ever played. Not even close. Wanna know the player that we responsible for guarding Carson yesterday when she went off for an unprecedented 21 in the first half? Caitlin Clark. You are mixing two topics, accomplishments and player level/skills.
I have never seen a better player than Clark. As good as there has ever been as a player.
Will she ever accomplish as much as Taurasi and others whilat she is at Iowa as other stars did at UConn or their school? No. Not close (though getting Iowa to the finals basically by yourself is not bad).
She doesn't have the skills on either side of the ball as Taurasi or Stewie just from UConn. She even lacks a lot of the skills Paige possesses. The one that seems to be mixing topics up is you, mixing up stats with skills/player levels. No one from UConn will ever have the statistical output of Clark (though Azzi might have this year if she hadn't gotten injured) but thats NOT because they don't have the skill level of her.
