So how will UConn replace him? Hurley doesn't have any answers yet, though he knows the type of person it won't be.
"We can't bring in a dinosaur that just wants to coach off the gut," he said, when asked if Murray's replacement will be analytically-driven.
"The whole thing has changed so much, you're not necessarily looking for recruiters," Hurley added. "You're looking for people that can help you make good decisions on the roster and help you run the program. It's not the texts and the visits and all that had to do with recruiting. It's about charm now. It's about money."
