Luke Murray’s Replacement

Other than you responding like a I’m not even disagreeing or agreeing. It’s what was written already. I personally don’t know who is available or what Hurley wants. I know from the Freeman debacle he’s not going to tolerate anybody who doesn’t put as much effort as he does. That’s for sure.

Again kid, does Nardi whom coach Dan Hurley just hired last yr have similar experience?

I don't understand what is so hard to understand. I was talking about D1 assistant coaching experience.

Does Nardi have similar experience?

Nardi:
  • Assistant coach for 8 years (hired with 7)
  • Development and scouting roles before that for 3 years.
  • Played overseas for 8 years
  • Interim head coach for a bit
  • Part of the staff that won the 2016 and 2018 NCAAT before being promoted to assistant.
  • Nardi is credited with developing and/or recruiting Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, Donte Divincenzo, Saddiq Bey, Collin Gillespie, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, and Cam Whitmore.
  • Played and coached under HOF'ers
Taliek:
  • Assistant coach for 4 years
  • Director of Basketball Operations 4 years
  • Played overseas for 11 years
  • Played and coached under HOF'ers
  • No information that I can find specifically about his development and recruiting.
I'd call it similar-ish. Decide for yourself.

By contrast, here's the resume for Preston Murphy who is rumored to be interviewing.
  • 10 years assistant coach
  • 4 years associate head coach
  • 4 years DBO
  • played overseas 3 years
  • Coached under multiple HOF'ers
  • Credited with recruiting 2 5* and 4 4* transfers and HS kids in the last 3 years. No info before that.

Well I know he has more experience than that because Dan hired him in 2018.

And the Andrew thing is not as one of the top assistants by the way. It’s everyone moves up a peg. Not my choice but something I saw when Murray was hired by BC. Along with Brown
Hurley didn't hire him as an assistant coach, google is avaliable to you.

James Breeding. Instantaneously neutralizes one of our biggest threats. Who cares if he can coach.

BREEDING!

Has Derek Kellogg been mentioned at all? I only ask this because I know he is really close with Hurley. Also, he has many years of HC experience, and he happens to be a local guy.

Yes. He and Preston Murphy are the top two best guesses.

Kid, your whole point is Taliek doesn’t have the experience? Correct? Yet Nardi who was just hired last yr has similar experience. Correct. So I asked you again , what is your point? If you can’t answer let the adults talk.
Is there a diff between hiring a guy at Nardi’s level and one at Luke’s?? You don’t hire another sales guy as vp sales when you already have a sales guy on your team. You go and hire a Vp of sales.

Brown doesn’t have anywhere near the resume of a guy y want for Lukes spot. When we hired Nardi we weren’t looking to replace Luke

The irony of calling someone "kid" multiple times then finishing the thought with, "let the adults talk."

Lmao

What about David Cox?

Former head coach at URI and assistant to Hurley during his URI days. Hired last year to Nova but has familiarity with both Nardi and Hurley. He helped bring Nova back to the tournament this year.

What’s the irony? Do you know the definition of the word irony?
Yep, but since you seem to not understand...

"1.)The use of words to express something different from and often opposite to their literal meaning.

2.)An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning.

3.)Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs.

Calling someone "kid" (something I haven't heard since highschool, lol) then acting as if you're the adult in the room is pretty damn ironic, lol.

Thanks for the cut and paste. So what’s the irony then genius?
I gave you a cut and paste because you clearly needed it. The irony was obvious, yet I explained it anyways.

Are you seriously this dense? Do you really need me to spell this out for you? "An expression or utterance marked by a deliberate contrast between apparent and intended meaning." Calling someone "kid" makes you sound like a child, yet you're acting like the adult in the room. The epitome of irony.
