NO he has don a great job as general manager.Move Tom Moore back to the bench and find someone else to run the GM role.
Who was responsible for coaching up our big men over the past 5 years? If it’s not Luke, I wouldn’t look to change it. They’ve been slaying. If it was Luke….How about a big man coach that is a big man?
Ive always wondered what that role entails. Assume it’s not nearly enough money to do it forever.I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mamadou Diarra moves up from Director of Player Development into the coaching staff.
He's a great program/culture guy, but I think we're looking for more, especially to replace the X's and O's acumen of a guy like Murray.I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mamadou Diarra moves up from Director of Player Development into the coaching staff.

I thought he was headed to BC with Luke?I wouldn't be at all surprised if Mamadou Diarra moves up from Director of Player Development into the coaching staff.
That would be a home run.Preston Murphy.
Either Rich Kelly gets the job, or he goes to BC with Luke.
literally the best assistant job in the country and people think they’ll hand it out to kids who have never coached before just because they are connected to UConn or the state. LolEnjoy Chestnut Hill, then. Some of these suggestions are nuts.
Don't know, but he was inducted a couple of years ago into the Pitt Panthers Hall of Fame...What's Clyde Vaughan up to these days.
Do we even need great recruiters now? UConn has incredible brand recognition and I tend to think it boils down to NIL anyway.Isn't Preston Murphy known as a great recruiter. I like the idea of that.
I'd welcome that, as we could then quickly adopt all the visionary concepts of the current "best coaching minds" in the land...May & Golden...Or is it Lloyd and Painter? Or Underwood & Sampson? I lose track.what about Ruff? 😁
No we don't. Hurley said we don't need a good recruiter and just need an analytics guy. Tom Moore handles the scouting and NIL stuff and Hurley closes the deal.Do we even need great recruiters now? UConn has incredible brand recognition and I tend to think it boils down to NIL anyway.
I’ve put my name in the hat.
McDermott as Hurley's George Blaney is an incredibly appealing idea. It's not going to happen, but just thinking about how much the rest of the conference would hate it is making me smile. (Also, the fact that McDermott is a brilliant basketball mind doesn't hurt.)How about Greg McDermott, hey it never hurts to ask.
Scotty and I are YOUNG!Scott Burrell is head coach at Southern Connecticut. I would go younger though. I’m sure that Dan is looking though.
