4 out of 5. In 2010, Baylor lost to UConn 70-50 in the National Championship Game. That was Griner's freshman season and Tina and Maya's final season playing together.True, she didn't make many final fours, BUT she has a 100% winning percentage when she does make it, Four Final fours produced four NCs
I think she was the first one to commit to LSU. She committed in March last year, the rest of class rounded out by the fall.Hines can flat out score. In all honesty, I hated to see her go to LSU simply because I was afraid she could get lost in the shuffle of all the guard talent the Tigers have. She's not quite the physical specimen of some of those ladies, but she can score in bunches.
To be precise, Mulkey's Baylor Bears lost to UConn in the semis that year, not the finals. UConn defeated Stanford in the 2009-10 NC game. Kim is 4-0 in National Championship games.4 out of 5. Yes I was wrong. That was her only semifinal loss.To be precise, Mulkey's Baylor Bears lost to UConn in the semis that year, not the finals. UConn defeated Stanford in the 2009-10 NC game. Kim is 4-0 in National Championship games.
And I was “wronger ” than you.Yes I was wrong. That was her only semifinal loss.
"Most athletic team in the country"??? Based on what? Size? Jumping ability? Speed? Endurance? None of the above? Whatever your answer is, I think there will be teams in the SEC who will challenge that notion, as well as the upper teams in the ACC and Big Ten.LSU might be the most athletic team in the country this season. Going to win some games off sheer physical ability.
Losing Fulwiley and Watkins didn’t help South Carolina, which probably holds that “title” most years.
LSU is athletic but probably the 6th or 7th best team in the SEC"Most athletic team in the country"??? Based on what? Size? Jumping ability? Speed? Endurance? None of the above? "Going to win some games off of sheer physical ability"??? Gee, ya think? With the cupcake OOC schedule that Kim routinely schedules, how could they not?
Grace Knox and Joyner (to an extent) are athletic. Koval is not, defensively I find overall she does well moving for her size at 6'5 but no not the most athletic in general so there will be limitations facing teams who do go 5 out or teams who bring their bigs out to the perimeterI wouldn't say the LSU is frontcourt is particularly athletic. They do have a ton of guards which is I guess what the poster is referring to.
LSU based on what I’ve watched of them currently looks like maybe the 5th or 6th best SEC team. Above average guard play, I’m not sold on their bigs and the freshmen has been a bit disappointing for a “top class”![]()
LSU scores 100 for record 7th straight game
No. 5 LSU set an NCAA record with its seventh consecutive 100-point game, routing Marist 113-53 at the Paradise Jam tournament.www.espn.com
Not sure this is a record I'd brag about?
Isn’t this where the reputation for bully ball culture her programs have been saddled with comes from? The taunting and vaunting behavior.I have always liked KM but watching them put on a show over a bunch of young ladies trying to compete is over doing it.
The OOC schedule doesn’t have one team with a winning recordwhat compels a coach to consistently schedule such uncompetitive games every year?
And yet Kim has won as many nattys in the past decade as Geno. I agree it's a desultory approach and no fun for the fans, but I've seen folks question Mulkey's Methods year after year, and she continues to prove us all wrong by the end of the season. The OOC schedule doesn’t have one team with a winning record
