Anybody in LeBron’s position who could have gotten to play with his son would have done whatever he did.

I don’t think he pretends to be anything he isn’t.

The guy’s been in the spotlight for 23 years and that’s all you can come up with—that says it all.

I think MJ is the goat but I’ll take LeBron over Kobe as a player and teammate any day of the week.

Lebron has never been that type of scorer even in a scoring friendly era. That being said he`d be great regardless.

No you’re so wrong nomar. You would do what you could do for your son or daughter as long as they deserved it. This is the NBA it’s not FedEx getting your kid a spot as a driver. He made the Lakers take someone who not only is not deserving now of a job in the NBA there’s a very good chance he never will be. What I came up with is true your reply is ridiculous!

Do you deny he had many a questionable “injury” in many seasons to take some games off? If you do you’re lying to yourself!
And MJ, Larry and many others never took days off without real injuries and I mean real!

I can name one that plays for Denver. Lebron didn’t make anyone draft his son it was an organizational business decision.

Yeah, just saying that late 2nd round pick don't tend to yield superstars. It wasn't like LeBron forced the Lakers to burn a valuable pick or Bronny took away somebody's first round spot and salary. These days, it's probably better to go undrafted than get picked in the second round by a team you don't like, so you can find the right situation.

As for who made the decision, I'd imagine LeBron made his "preference" quite clear but I'd also imagine that the Lakers didn't have a problem kowtowing because they figured it would be a smart marketing move to get them on the floor together.
 
Wait what are the reasons people think he’s “not a great guy” again?

I understand saying that we don’t have any real sense of superstars from the image that’s put out there and thus abstaining from judgement but saying you know he’s not a great guy from scrolling your phone and thinking he flops too much is really showing your ass

I don't know about you, but I'm thinking about going back through the thread and counting how many posts some people have made to press their points. Then I can start figuring how many more times each person has to repeat himself before he gets me to go along with him. Maybe haiku will work on me.

Maybe one guy needs to say it just a couple more times, another needs to sound angrier, and another needs to do a controlled slow-drip of bothersome transgressions that might take half a dozen additional unflattering details one at a time, and no more than two posts per page, before everybody caves.

Didn't LeBron opt out of his contract for 2024-2025 to become an unrestricted free agent? And picking his son was another "incentive" for him to re-sign with the Lakers? I thought that was the main reason the Lakers used a 2nd round pick on Bronny. Highly doubt the Lakers cared much about the 1 game charade for them to play together.

The laughing emoji because everybody caving is hopeless fantasy. But you know that.

The idea that anonymous (well mostly) individuals pursue an endeavor over and over with the predictable outcome that people rarely if ever change their position yet those arguing feel like they are accomplishing something is, well silly, stupid, ridiculous, vain, indulgent. For the life of me I can’t understand why people believe they have to do this.

Make a point and don’t worry about the need for someone else agreeing with you. There are no rewards for empty repetitive arguments.

When I see or hear of LeBron James the word hypocrite comes to mind, based on his tacit approval of Nike using Uighur slaves (forced labor in polite society) to make his namesake shoes according to the Washington Post:


It would be interesting to know if UConn has ever asked Nike about the use of forced labor.

In a different setting from here, I regularly encounter two relevant maxims:

"Mean what you say. Say what you mean. But don't say it mean."

"State your opinion once. Maybe a second time to clarify. After that, you're just trying to control things."

The Boneyard operates with a different set of standards.
