Fear is the mind killerDid Hurley improves everyone’s mental psyche this past weekend? Fear is healthy for one’s own psyche.
They’re miserable and jealous bunch. They thought the realignment will result in Uconn’s demise and I think some of them are still hoping and praying. HilariousSyracuse board before the Hurley return announcement

Because they thought they could woo him after he and his agent expressed "interest"Why would the Lakers go along with this ruse? I mean Joe has a podcast, so he must be brilliant. But why would the Lakers temporarily pause on their pursuit of their real coach to help Danny get a better raise
I think it was Dana O'Neill that reported he didn't have a new contract on the tableHurley: Rejecting Lakers was not 'leverage play'
Dan Hurley told "The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz" that the rejection of the Lakers' offer was not a leverage play, noting he has a deal in place at UConn that will make him the highest-paid coach in college basketball.www.espn.com
Who was it that reported we hadn't discussed his extension prior to the Lakers interest? I want their head on a pike
Methinks she fired off a hastily written tweet that wasn't accurate.I think it was Dana O'Neill that reported he didn't have a new contract on the table

The problem there is the leak of the contract offer. If Hurley wasn't their top target, what would they have done if he accepted the offer?so this played out exactly like how so many media heads predicted it would when the news of Hurley being offered and "the top target" was leaked by Woj
He certainly hasn't earned it, I don't know why the Lakers would want him.I don't get why JJ would want this job. He's going to get Steve Nash'd if they don't win a championship. It's such a horrible spot for a young coach.

I don't understand why they're letting a 40 year old make decisions for them. Nothing about it makes sense. They probably don’t want him, Lebron does.

The Lakers are about whatever draws the most eyeballs & press coverage, sometimes that's great players and winning, other times it is overpaying for marquee players that keep the stands full and the press engaged. The Hurley news dropping on eve of finals is the one true conspiracy of the situation. So they'll try to make LeBron stay and be happy via coach selection, Bronny draft etc... because LeBron is still at the top of NBA player popularity.Agreed. Makes no sense.
