The Wojo stuff might be overblown in here, but Borges did say that after the report came out older members of the Horde said when Wojo used to cover UConn and had his battles with Calhoun, he vowed to get Calhoun back one day. Wojo's animosity seems to relate to Calhoun, as he's always been pumping up KO from the day he got the job on an interim basis. I don't really see it as hate for UConn.

So he reported on violations we committed and he automatically hates our program?
You really have no clue, do you? Seriously, when did you start following this program?

He and Wetzel didn't just report on it, they are the ones who did the investigation themselves, from scratch, after obtaining the documents through Freedom of Information requests that they filed.

It was a targeted investigation and the vast majority of what they reported as violations turned out not to be, and the rest are mostly contacts that are now totally allowed. The story was released on the eve of our appearance in the 2009 Final Four.

As they intended, the NCAA took their information and used it for its own, taking another two years to investigate before releasing its findings and our penalty shortly before our appearance in the 2011 Final Four, the crowning glory of which was the Nate Miles article in the NYT literally on the eve of the National Championship game.

It was a hit job, plain and simple. And this is another one, with even less factual basis.

Billy Donovan ranks as natural favorite in OKC to replace deposed Scotty Brooks, who becomes instant candidate in Denver and Orlando

both of those guys are miles ahead of zags, stein is equally or more plugged in than Woj for sure. the common ground in both their sourced info is billy donovon, i'm getting a feeling KO turned them down while donovon is still interested .

That's their job. If you think they did this out of hatred of UConn and not for the sake of their careers that's fine.

They're not mutually exclusive.

I agree to an extent that it was their job, however they did a piss poor job of actually fact checking what would be violations and what wouldn't. The vast majority of what they reported as violations were simply not.

Now back to people worrying about Ollie. Apparently he needs to chain himself to his desk and release statements every 5 minutes until all NBA jobs are filled. Of course then people could complain about him not being out there and recruiting.

Wasn't Woj the one that reported last year that Calhoun was interested in the BC job and BC turned him down?
