Kimani Young - New Assistant Coach

He was the recruiter of Jellyfam chairman Isaiah Washington. With Pitino falling out of favor and Minnesota having a bad year, we could see some movement there. Keep in mind he is very close with Sid Wilson who also played for New Heights.

Both play for St. Benedict's in New Jersey where Hurley coached high school. This hire could be monumental for our quick turn around.

Both have offers from Minn it seems as well, so that connection should come over.

Don't say that unless you mean it
lol it's all speculation. Washington would be a perfect get though if we could sign another guard and a big for this season. Let him sit a year and take the reigns from Adams the following year.

The crazy thing is how possible this could be if Washington did transfer here. JQ may very well prefer playing with two of his boys instead.

Lester Quinones to Uconn makes way too much sense right now. He plays for Hurley's old high school team and Young's old AAU team and has a skill set we desperately need; a 2 Guard who can shoot and spreads the floor and is right in that # 50-75 prospect sweet spot that we should be able to get to come and play 3-4 years.

Good hire but I hope this isn't the final domino.

A staff of Hurley, Cox, Moore, and Young would be impressive.

Hurley, Moore, Young, and Freeman not as much.
I'm a little concerned about X's and O's if Freeman is the third assistant.

Thankfully you'll have 7 months to stew over that staff's deficiencies and how each of them could manifest in the worst possible manner.

meh it's a reasonable concern. either way it's immensely better than what we had, though.

From Sunday afternoon:

Well played @Candyman34
