The Calhoun charity walk is on Saturday - we have about 15-17 Boneyarders committed to showing up and despite the forecast, a good time will be had by all.

If you still want to sign up, we're happy to have you.

You can go to THIS LINKY RIGHT HERE to sign up or send me a private message and I will set you up.

There has been some concern about the $200 minimum donation. Do not let that keep you from signing up - the total amount raised will cover that.

Now, what we really need....donors.

No need to break the bank, but if you're looking for a way to kick cancer in the nuts, throwing any amount towards the Jim Calhoun's cancer event is a very nice way to do it.

We picked $10,000 as our initial goal and that was obviously too optimistic, but if we can get halfway there...that'd be nice. You can make a donation at the link above either to the general team page or any individual page as you see fit.

Also remember that while there is that pesky $200 thing that you really don't have to worry about, we/they are not asking you personally to give that much. The idea is you get sponsors for you to walk. Family, friends, people at work. I started today at work and got a little over $200 in about an hour. It's not really too hard to find 10 people to give $20 for cancer research, particularly when it's tax deductible. There are links for a pledge form and for individual donation forms for people who want to write checks (I'm even having my cash people fill out the form - it's just easier to keep up and make sure they get their tax deduction. Plus it gives the foundation some numbers to call next year, but don't tell them that!)

I have my flight from what is going to be a wonderful low 90s and clear Southern California to see this thing you guys call rain. At first I thought you were getting a new king in Connecticut but then I looked it up and it wasn't reign but instead this 'rain' thing. Do you folks not have showers? Sounds like the same thing but with a lot more control and better temperature and way easier to clean up.

Come on - if I can get people in L.A. to donate money for a cancer walk in CT, surely you can find a few people who don't hate you so much that they won't cough up 20 bucks.

And let me just remind you, if you were part of the Bandwagon Program and have not settled up yet, now is the time. That plan was on the honor system and you're on your honor to make it right.

I was drunk when settling my debt with "the Bandwagon" program and apparently signed myself up to actually participate in the walk. As much as I'd actually like to be there to support the cause and meet some of you whack jobs in person I will be safely ensconced on my boat on Lake Tahoe and more than 3000 miles from all of you signed up on team Boneyard.

I'm on fire. I got $1,000 so far and pledges for at least $700 more. We'll see if those tight arses open up however. I want to hit $2,000 by tomorrow afternoon.

Good lord.

Nice work.

Wait until he starts showing up at people's homes with a crow bar. I'm thinking jail time is in his future.

You pledge and don't pay? You get what's commin'. Fundraising 101. Just gotta find a judge who's in remission for testicular cancer...and you skate.
