This is really difficult for this game. Every player made a significant contribution to this win. Five players in double figures. We outshot & out rebounded Iowa.

So I will buck the trend - The Team was BADASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aaliyah. And her teammates agree. When they were presenting the trophy some were clustered around her and pointing saying "MVP, MVP!"

Aaliyah was indeed a beast but I’m most excited by the performance of Caroline! If she can start playing up to what we saw for a brief stretch last season, it will change our whole team dynamic! Imagine being some poor coach trying to survive Fudd, Edwards, Senechal, Griffin, and then Caroline subs in! However, back to AE, she is showing a consistency we’ve never seen before. What a player she has become!

So out of curiosity, who holds the UConn single game rebounding record? I am guessing Tina Charles?

So, as always there’s a lot to choose from. Nika, being Nika, just uses badassery. There may be no one on the court who is any tougher than she is. Caroline shakes off the rust and comes up big when we needed her most. Scoring, when we needed it. Defense, when we needed it. And what about Azzi Fudd? Put up the goose egg in the first quarter and only two with the half, but brushes the doubters off her shoulders and lights it up in the third quarter. But in the end, it has to go to “the masked Canuck“ sure she played her typical game tough under the basket, stretching out to mid range shots and rebounding, but she also stepped up to guard last year‘s player of the year when the game was on the line, and shut her down. Oh yeah, that’s badass .
