Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

The one thing that stops the SEC and Big from cutting everyone else out from football playoffs and taking over the tournament is Notre Dame. At any time Notre Dame could tell the networks they are becoming a full member of the ACC and expect the money to be added.
Neither the SEC or Big are willing to take that chance.
Because Notre Dame is the college Dallas Cowboys, but on a bigger scale. They would immediately make the ACC part of the top 3 if not the top.

Notre Dame could also just join the B1G in that situation for more money?

This Board has been a closet Notre Dame board for football since I started posting here over 20 years ago.

The Guy West Bridge is a suspension bridge for pedestrian and bicycle traffic spanning the American River in Sacramento in Sacramento County, California, linking the campus of California State University, Sacramento with the neighboring Campus Commons student housing development. It was designed to resemble the Golden Gate Bridge, both in form and signature international orange color.

You say it jokingly, but I'm amazed that The B1G with all of its media pull can't figure out a way to monetize a high-level M/W basketball addition like UConn. Especially with the SEC surging as a basketball conference over the last few years.
I gave up on logic a long time ago. For example, I thought the ACC wanted to lock up New York.

They will have 8 as they added Chicago St last year. 3 schools jumped from D2 since 2022. The NEC is in a very bad place
Merge the America East with the NEC. Fold the CAA football teams who play in America East (Maine, Albany, New Hampshire, Bryant) into NEC football. Rebrand the whole thing as America East and let the NEC brand disappear.

As a Maine fan I'd rather be playing CCSU and Sacred Heart every year than Hampton and NC A&T.

I miss the old A-10/CAA. It was a beast of a league.

Very nice. Just don’t know what makes this a key tweet in terms of realignment
That's fair. I guess because it's a statement of value directly backed up by metrics that bolsters it a little bit. Also, the fact that it wasn't made from someone's basement in West Virginia helps as well.

i once estimated UConn basketball only worth to the B!G is easily in the $20,000,000 annual range . A little less in the SEC and 50-60% of that in the B!2 or ACC
Football is a non starter for all of them . it seems a no brainer for any conference to add UConn in all sports except football. . Is it Uconn reluctance to leave football to find its own way the real issue in CR.? If true should we rethink that position?
