Umm WTF is this?
The one game vs. FCS opponent that won’t be picked up on CBS College Sports Network plus some coaches’ shows.
Umm WTF is this?
The key is getting into the P5 club.
I read it somewhere from Thamel. Will try to find it and post. How are you coming to that conclusion? I don't see anything in the quoted tweet that says that.
It really is the weirdest thing and makes no sense. Just by virtue of being in one of the conferences you have more doors open to you and more options. Even forgetting about the dollars involved. These arbitrary groups were created and because of membership, Vanderbilt is valued the same as Alabama not just with revenue but in terms of perception and contract languages.
I need a sad emoji for this. I predicted what he has some time ago....unless GoKU ends up being right
No betting. Right, @superjohn and @shizzle787 ?There you have it. UConn will be added at a reduced rate. It’s a compromise that will make everyone happy. Yormack will win, the football heavy schools can jus
want to bet?
Yooooooo.....No betting. Right, @superjohn and @shizzle787 ?
You are getting in. Yormark is getting you in.this is gonna hurt so bad
At some point it just becomes embarrassing.this is gonna hurt so bad
Eh, every school not in the P5 wishes their school was generating the type of buzz we are getting. Its like the lotto. You cant win if you dont play.At some point it just becomes embarrassing.
He is doing so many great things for the B12, and I do believe he will get us in. On face value alone, UCONN is a state flagship university that still holds a ton of value with school presidents. If B12 can add UCONN, Arizona, Colorado, and ASU, it would be a huge win for the conference. You are getting in. Yormark is getting you in.
I would take 20 million per year for the contract if it got us in.The story does mention a reduced rate for G5 schools:
"As for television payouts, Colorado is expected to join the Big 12 at a pro rata basis, which is an average of $31.7 million in television revenue over the course of the league's new deal starting in 2025. Additional schools coming in at that rate would require some additional conversation, as Power 5 schools are expected to be pro rata -- assuming Fox and ESPN agree on that. For schools such as UConn and San Diego State, the tenor of that television payout conversation is expected to be different."
Perhaps, but that certainly wouldn't be my opening position.I would take 20 million per year for the contract if it got us in.
I trust Benedict and Maric to not negotiate themselves out of an invite. Ill leave it that.Perhaps, but that certainly wouldn't be my opening position.
