This may really be happening...
What I’ll find really funny is when this all transpired and UConn finds its way to the big 12, the media powers that be will re-brand to the Power 4 and then we’ll be in the cold again in G6.
I was gonna say... I think that guy is confused. There are going to be 12 teams in the Big12 after Texas and OK leave. 12+4 (AZ, ASU, UT, CO) and they're at 16. There's literally no path for UConn if they take those 4 schools.
In my ideal world, they could rescind their BYU invite (or UCF for that matter) and give it to UConn.
This may really be happening...
A reply to the tweet:What interests me is the last part. I wonder what the plan in place is to make this really work.
I hope that isn’t the end game. I don’t think the Big East is our long-term home, but I don’t want to kill it either (though I will take some joy watching the Friars get punted to the curb).A reply to the tweet:

The plan that has been rumored is plucking away the Big East best basketball brands. But that really creates an unwieldy league so not sure.
There is definitely more than just smoke
Some of you clowns scoffed when I said it is too quiet for something not to be happening. AD Dave would be publicly lowering expectations big time if they’re wasn't something serious under consideration. Fingers crossed.
August West comes to mind insofar as conference talk is concerned.Clowns? Give names!
The opposite would be a lot easier to do.Clowns? Give names!
Even if the four border schools are taken from the Pac12, UConn may still get into the B12. Right now, there are so many rumors and noise getting reported. But at least UConn's name is getting mentioned.
The new big 12 commissioner wants UConn, but the previous commissioner didn't. That's why UConn vaulted to the top of the list.and prior to the past few months UConn was primarily mentioned as only going to ACC. Even a few years ago when practically the entire AAC tried to get in to the Big 12 no one in the national media mentioned UConn seriously.
Sorry, still newish here. Moving it over to non-key.This in non-key. Lambert is the Dude of WV, right? And hoops only is a non-starter.
From the same guy, this actually makes lots of sense.
