I wasn't the one making them up. I just commented that all conferences have divisions with crossover opponents. A statement of fact.

Of course not. I'll even prognosticate myself. If we get an invite and if Cinci also gets an invite, we will be in a division with Cinci and WVU. Other than that...wild speculation.

I would imagine OK and Texas would be in different divisions so that there would be the possibility of a OK/UT matchup in the championship game. They would still hold the Red River rivalry every year as a cross over rivalry game but the BIG XII will do everything to protect OK/UT and increase the chances of one of them representing the conference in the college football playoff.

Texas, TT, Baylor, TCU, Kansas, Kansas St

Think this would be more in line with what the Big XII would do IMO. Have to protect their cash cows above all and this creates a Texas division for all the Texans to drool over.

Yeah you can't stack all your premier teams in one division the ACC supremely screwed up putting Clemson and FSU together.
 
As much as I'd prefer the B1G or even ACC, this would be kind of cool, playing OU, Ok St every year and likely UT, TCU, Baylor every couple. Even Texas Tech at the rent or K State would be a good game.

And the hoops would be very strong. 5-7!really top notch programs, KU, UConn, Cincy, UT, OU, OK St, Iowa State

Yes, but in reality that is the draw, to gain some NYC exposure so I could see a prerequisite being we have to play OU, UT there, assuming we wouldn't have both on home schedule every year or maybe not if we expand the Rent to 50k. What is the smallest B12 stadium?

The one concern w/ comparing to UH/Cincy is they have access to NFL Stadiums in same city.
 
2017 is tentative start date for conference play. We could expand to 50K or even 55K by then, if that was a prerequisite.

We put in an extra 5K for Michigan two years ago, so we really could list ourselves at 45,000 already.

But to the larger point, we wouldn't be the first school to undertake a stadium expansion after jumping or preparing to jump conferences. See Louisville, Cincy and Houston in the last 5 years alone. Rutgers too.

If they want to get cute..I'm sure if they reduced the size of the bleacher seating area to that of ND, Michigan and PSU they could fit another 5-10K in that expansion seating capacity number.

Expand the Rent to 55k and you're in the top half of the conference.

Right, expanding the stadium is the prereq we can live with, in fact welcome. Not demanding we play our home games in another state.

It may fall through, but UConn/B12 is clearly being floated by the powers that be. You would have heard the conference deny that anything was finalized if this were a random rumor getting legs.

If UConn was in the same division as Texas or Oklahoma and as much as I want all UConn home game to be at the Rent, hosting either team at MetLife would be a media frenzy and a cash cow for the XII. I cannot see how the XII will turn that down at least on a rotating basis, such as every other home UConn game at MetLife. As an added bonus, Syracuse would need to change its underwear after watching UConn hosting Texas in front of 80K at MetLife.

As uncomfortable as it would be for a whole football game, I would be willing to share my seat with a Long Horn fans to help increase attendance - as long as I can pick which Long Horn fan does get to sit on my lap 60 minutes.
