It's a reach, but DeCourcy may loosely lean on Covington, Kentucky, which is about a mile across the Ohio from the Cinci business district, and other KY towns which are also part of the Cinci metro area and media market.

The thing is, the TV contract keeps the money the same for adding two schools, not four. By adding the third and fourth school, they start losing money. At least that's how I understand it.

That's true. Cincy's airport is actually in Kentucky. That issue was also raised when Louisville added to the ACC under the pretense that they would bring the entire, basketball crazy Commonwealth of Kentucky fans to the ACC. The Cards fans are barely the majority in Louisville due to the fact that U Kentucky is their state U and have had more historical success never mind in the Cincy metro were there are both Cincy and Ohio St fans living in Kentucky.

One of three things are true:

1) Baylor, Texas Tech, KState, Iowa State and the rest of the little 8 must all think the President of Oklahoma, which has one of the top programs in college football, is totally full of spit and is just bluffing,
2) Those same schools think they will be fine if Oklahoma and Texas walk out the door, or
3) There is a lot of posturing going on among the factions.

My god is this conference destined to fail. Nothing this conference does is strategic, pro-active, or even remotely long-term in its thinking.
What gives me comfort is that this conference is the absolute WORST place for Uconn Athletics to land long-term. That layered onto the #1 rule for CR means it's basically a done deal. Boren probably has a Uconn T-shirt on under his suit at the meetings.

Someone at UConn should be talking to them daily about what happens when your conference collapses around you. They have to be complete morons if they don't think they are in danger of getting left behind.

25 m and P5 membership would solve a lot of problems.

UCONN was in there not too long ago. BE fell apart right around UCONN. Same thing can easily happen to the little 8 outside OU and Texas. If they keep thinking 10 is perfect, they are as dumb as the old BE.

Thought it could go without saying that 'landing' would insinuate some form of movement from our current state. You even managed to throw the "dumpster fire" cliche when describing our current conference.
