Or will ESPN stick their slimy little fingers into the whole thing again?

That would be great. 2 less spots for ACC leftovers. We need that conference to be decent when we join

Another kick in the gut for UConn if it comes to pass.
My undergrad advisor had a a sign on his door: The beatings will continue until morale improves. Well, our CR woes have lasted longer than M.A.S.H. was on the air. I just hope it doesn't last longer than Gray's Anatomy.

When you understand Portland (OSU is 100 miles from Portland) and Seattle are over 1300 miles from Phoenix and getting to Spokane is just simply brutal you get a sense of the problems for the Eastern Schools . By comparison UConn is a piece of cake for even ASU just a 4 1/2 hours . Im older than dirt an manage it just fine . The old agument that UConn as an outlier was just destroyed.
Which makes me even more depressed because without that excuse these conferences simply don’t think were worthy. Thats a harsh reality.

Who is in a better position right now - UConn or Washington State/Oregon State?

UConn. A top 5 program in the second most important college sport and far and away the best program in another top 5 sport, with solid success in other sports. Plus a much more highly ranked academic institution in an important area between massive population centers

With a glimmer of hope that they picked up by the B12, I’d say WSU, OSU right now. OSU in top 25 and PAC have a great year thus getting a lot of attention

But if they don’t get a lifeline in the next few months, then their position fades dramatically.

Anyone but UConn is in a better position right now. We have seen that basketball and academics are meaningless in CR. The only thing that matters is football, which is the only sport that UConn gets a failing grade.

I have $5000, the man in the Clemson cap.

Do I hear 10 ? 10, 10...I have 10...the man in the back with the A on his cap.

Livvy Dunn...LSU...$12.1 million NIL valuation ($3.1 million annually)....12.1 million followers...

Source? Doubt she's making 3 million, instegram followers are not that monetizable, especially when that is the only source of visibility.

Reminds me of a scene from Blue Chips where one of the basketball players tells what type of renumeration he wants to join the program.

I’ve seen her in a bunch of online and TV ads and I am not online much. There is no way to confirm how much she is actually making but I wouldn’t blink at the $3.1 million annually.

The great thing is.. the cheaters can’t cheat anymore.. its all out in the open now…the wild west..and football being the money sport… and a lot more players to pay..you know the business can’t pay enough money to players… im sure schools digging into those tv media deal money to help buy all these players… i hope it gets so expensive to all those schools that want to compete

Wouldnt surprised me. At this point any program that has some sort of FB team will get picked up before Uconn. FB team always seems to find new ways to be yucky . Sigh
No one wants us for FB only at this point.

A MW / Pac-2 merger is an opportunity for them to put together a great basketball conference, & add sizzle to a conference that would be only so-so in FB. Like Yormark kept saying - basketball is undervalued.

The geography’s not ideal, but adding SD State, Memphis & Uconn for all sports & Gonzaga & Wichita State for
BB would make a merged conference an immediate BB power. And Uconn & Gonzaga alone might be enough to attract other BB schools ( think Creighton & Marquette, who aren’t geographic
fits in the BE either.)

Given that UConn’s only options now are to wait & hope, I think it’d be a legit proactive move with a potential pathway to P4. We need something out of the box.
