Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

No way the NBE takes UConn unless UConn finds a long term home for football.

Unfortunately, you have it backwards. Your sentence should read, "No way that UConn would go to the NBE unless UConn finds a long term home for football."

The NBE would absolutely LOVE having UConn for all of the other sports outside of football. They would instantly become national contenders in men's BB, women's BB, men's soccer, field hockey (although field hockey is currently in the Big East anyways), and would be a playoff contender / regional power in women's soccer, track & field, baseball, etc.

So again, no way that UConn would go to the NBE unless...

SNY paid more for our women's games than AAC teams get for all their sports currently. Do you really question our real value ?
That is the answer CA, I was wondering when someone would get around to that. More importantly, SNY was pretty much non-existent in CT before they got the woman's team broadcast rights and then suddenly they got huge penetration (innuendo unintended, but noted) in the state. So yeah I complete get your point. But FS1 has done amazingly poorly. It seems to be where sports programming goes to die. I'm not sure even UConn is enough to resurrect it.

(Also, I used the words 'Huge penetration innuendo" together in a way that won't get me in trouble with Tom. Not bad for a first post of the day.)

Is any program even close to UCONN when it comes to recruiting, developing, and deploying top quality guards? KO + UCONN = $.

Told that B10 will definitely get paid (2016-17) on new media rights deal but, damn, the SEC broke the bank.

Just received #ACC 2013-14 tax return. Total revenue up 30% to $302,306,749. Biggest jumps: TV to $197.2M and bowls to $48.8M.

#ACC distributed 90.7% of total revenue to member schools, in keeping w/previous rates. Also paid out $11M in championship reimbursements.

A year ago, #ACC estimated 2013-14 revenue at $291.7M, so came in more than $11M above projection.

#ACC distributions, not including champ reimbursements: VT $19.3M, UVa $18.3M, Clemson $21.3M, Duke & FSU $20.2M, UNC $19.8M ...

More #ACC distributions: Miami $19.5M, BC $19.4M, GT $19.2M, Cuse $19.2M, Pitt $18.9M, WF $17.9M, ND $4.9M.

Maryland shown as receiving $18.0M in 2013-14 #ACC revenue, but that w/held in court settlement. Will eventually go to remaining schools.

This is the last year of the BCS...I wonder what this year (2014-15) under the playoff looks like?

Teel tweets...

Unlike the SEC and others, #ACC has not projected 2014-15 revenue, but with MD settlement and CFP windfall, expect significant spike.

The ACC will likely land at about $25M all in.

And next year, the same. And then the next year, it'll be the same. And then, the same. Repeat until 2025.

Basically, the fifth horse in what will be a two-horse race.

Can't argue the money race. The SEC and B1G will be the money guys.

Doesn't translate into wins all of the time...or Texas would be doing better than they have.

But it sure won't hurt.

Georgetown sells rights to Fox...

"The deal will pay Georgetown an estimated $1 million-$3 million per year (more depending on its success, according to informed insiders), punching up the bottom line of Georgetown’s roughly $34.5 million annual athletic budget. Once Fox recoups that investment, revenue-sharing kicks in, with both the network and athletic department benefiting."

Our girls basketball team sold it's broadcast rights for $1 million before Aresco lumped in our tier 3 rights in the AAC media deal.

Actually, our women's basketball sold their tier 3 rights for $1.8m to a regional network, SNY.

Well, we all know what this means.

If Rule #1 of conference realignment holds true, the Big 12 is about to raid the AAC and take two non-UConn schools.
