He probably called up Warde Manuel for advice. Is AD David Benedict monitoring the situation?

Utah is one of the 4 corners. He said it wasn't a 4 corner schoolUtah.
Then the Big 12 would have the two Utes.
You think Forde and Mcmurphy are making it up?What's clear is that Forde (who has always enjoyed taking digs at us) believes we are no better than a backup choice. He isn't part of the decision making process so........
I think we need to buy you a beer at Lawrence Brewing if this comes through. Plus that’s now three KU fans we tolerate around here (well, not everyone tolerates me).Nope
A good argument could be made that we are the opposite of bait. If it were just Colorado right now, many of those schools would be thinking that only one spot is left, and someone else might leave. We should be used to this by now. Our role in conference realignment is to be the perennial bait
I don't think we are clearly a backup plan. You think Forde and Mcmurphy are making it up?
If this plan to include TV money in NILs goes through, look into dropping down to D2 if you're not making $50m a year.I don’t feel this is as big of a disaster when we missed out on the Acc. We still have the BE for bball and football was ok as in Indy so far. Have till the Acc GOR runs out to get football looking good.
Not my (albeit optimistic) read - I think the UC news is not official and until it is (tomorrow evening at the earliest) there is no way that UConn can be announced.Regardless of the slip up, it seems clear we’re the backup for the four corner schools.

Oops, but yeah it’s on fire.Unintentionally funny post.
It's inhabitable now and many people are moving to that state. Just in case there's an edit and it gets changed to "uninhabitable".
They have. Cal and Stanford too. Big risk if they try to force the B1G to move early. I’d be surprised if Cal, Stanford or Washington would consider the move. Oregon profiles differently. So maybe.Crazy if it's Oregon or Washington.
I mean, if the Pac12 falls apart, I thought these 2 schools have been vetted by the B1G already.
Don't be discouraged. Everybody here has Stockholm Syndrome.
I think he’s got like a second tier “legit” clearanceIs this guy legit? Let's really hope he is legit. He would be the first official guy to break this other than the Master golf guy.

UConn fans ... especially football, have been through a lot this past decade. Probably worried about being leap frogged.Maybe I’m completely nuts, but I continue to be optimistic. The most realistic scenario in my mind from the start was Colorado commits first and then we receive an offer to join them. This establishes a Northeast presence for the Big 12 that the other Pac 12 options don’t provide.
It’s now believed that Colorado will join. Why are people becoming more negative? I don’t get it. We might not get the offer, but I think today’s events have increased our chances materially.
