Sooo he’s openly admitted to being scared?
would really not take it as SOUR GRAPES, REALLY think its meant to be a sarcastic compliment to the STRENGTH of the Husky program!!Of course not. What are effectively mid-major programs like Seton Hall, St Johns, Providence have one more major in their way now. That was the beauty of the New Big East for those schools. They could get credit for winning without having to really beat anybody but Villanova. They got the benefit of being in a legacy league.
I actually laughed about the post, didn't take it seriously! thought it was meant as a JOKE.would really not take it as SOUR GRAPES, REALLY think its meant to be a sarcastic compliment to the STRENGTH of the Husky program!!
CallMeBruce - Seton hall is a much better program than NC State - not even close
Willard is just elevating UConn to a higher level in the recruits eyes by "complaining". If UConn received an invite to a P5, the recruitment in that area would improve for UConn.
There's a renewed big fish in the party.
I like KW but he has to pull up his big boy pants and deal with it - he will be able to get some of the table scraps.
You don't hear Mike Anderson complaining
He was famous. Not very good but famous. How about growing some onions!! As a famous ex-Seton Hall coach would say..
Ouch.. I hear you but he is a funny dude!! Hoping he does some of our games this year..He was famous. Not very good but famous.
I love him as an announcer but really he was not a good basketball coach at he Hall.Ouch.. I hear you but he is a funny dude!! Hoping he does some of our games this year..
"Legacy League." Interesting term. Saying they benefited from the label, Big East, without having the mojo of the teams in the old Big East.Of course not. What are effectively mid-major programs like Seton Hall, St Johns, Providence have one more major in their way now. That was the beauty of the New Big East for those schools. They could get credit for winning without having to really beat anybody but Villanova. They got the benefit of being in a legacy league.
Yeah, i don’t know where that’s coming from. The Hall had that one Championship Game appearance back in the day, Terry Dehere, and that’s about it. They were middle of the road for years in the OBE.Someone is seriously arguing that Seton Hall has a better basketball history than NC State? Probably thinks more people watch Foxsports than ESPN, too.
I see it more as UConn being spotlight hogs to him, taking his shine (of whatever they have). They all had it good, especially not having to fight that hard for notoriety. UConn already coming in with tons of it, (albeit somewhat dimmed, thanks AAC) and he knows it.Sooo he’s openly admitted to being scared?
Nah he's from jerseythere are plenty of top 150 players in the tri state area for seton hall to keep making the tourney with even if they get the guys we ultimately pass on. myles powell was from CT and we didnt want him for cryn out loud.
I am not sure why it would matter to him. Seton Hall recruits real thugs that I do not think Hurley would consider so it doesn't impact him as far as recruiting.
was referring to him going to south kent for prep schoolNah he's from jersey
