OK, all of you, does this ring any bells? No, I will not try to compare Enosch with Lawrence, but for those of you that want to just let this incident go away, maybe you should reread this.

I'm just trying to highlight the fact that the whole situation is skeptical because the 'report' that he hit her doesn't match up to how Wolf and his GF are behaving now, the police report, OR the charges filed against Wolf.

I don't think that Ollie will hide behind anyone but he will undoubted take into account how the courts and the university views the issue. I agree, though, that at the end of the day it is his call.

You sound like sean hannity. Ollie goes by a different moral code, and spiritual one at that. Whatever decision he makes will be the best one for the university and wolf (even if it includes teaching him a lesson by letting him go or keeping him). I doubt the decision will be for his personal gain. His convictions are stronger that public (i.e. fan) opinion. Always know that Ollie doesn't 'need' to coach the University, the University needs him to coach. He's set for life and with a future basketball or not.

You are underestimating our Coach, he's unlike any other. Try and get 10 toes in, one day.

He could have said, "I don't care if Wolf is cleared by President Herbst herself, he is never playing for my team again." He could even have said, "I'll fight to get him re-instated" He did none of those. He essentially hid behind Manuel and the University. He'll let them take the heat if Wolf has to go. He'll use them as cover if he comes back. That isn't taking the stairs. That is letting someone else carry you up. Kevin Boeheim.

Tough situation. On one hand, I don't believe in permanently writing off human beings and never giving them second chances in life. On the other hand, I don't think athletes should be allowed to do things like get away with domestic abuse simply because they're D1 athletes.

In conclusion, I'm glad it's not my decision.

Let the court play out, let the university sanctions play out and then make the team decision. Making grand sounding pronouncements prior to having all the facts is fine on a message board but a bad call if you are in an actual position of responsibility.

I get it but..........why would he? What is the benefit? To make you feel better? To prove he is a true man of conviction? It does literally nothing for him to make such a pronouncement. He already said they were monitoring his behavior, counseling, grades, etc and would make a decision when the time was appropriate. That seems like a level headed approach to a touch situation. He clearly knows the intimate details of the situation and thinks its worth monitoring the situation instead of either throwing him under the bus or welcoming him back with open arms before that happens. What more do you need from Ollie?

If Ollie says he is kicking him off regardless and then the legal system says nothing happened aside from Wolf being drunk and not leaving, it makes Ollie look like a genius.

If Ollie says he is keeping him and than the legal system says Wolf went straight Chris Brown on the girl, that makes Ollie look like worse than a genius.

Waiting to see what the legal system says Wolf did, is the correct call, as is making sure discussions are made with Herbst and Manuel.

Ollie was pretty clear on Olander, because his situation isn't one where he could potentially be kicked out of school.

Wolfs situation sucks. This is one of those, my girlfriend's, room mate's, friend is in class with the girl that wolf had the encounter with. Apparently, the next day the girl that was "hit" said that she blew it out of proportion and that she shouldn't have called the cops. And i see them together around campus all the time so i am assuming they are dating again...take that for fwiw.

Olander on the other hand...
