Question for those in the know - have KK Arnold and Qadence Samuels upped their games since committing or are they just getting more attention?
KK had lots of attention even before UConn

4 UCONN commits (KK, Qadence, Ashlynn & Ice) are having very good summers and are getting more attention as a result. Although she did make the USA U17 team because of injury I think KK is going into the Fall as one of the favorites to win many national awards.
At the same time that these 4 have upped their games, some of the other highly sought after recruits in the class of 23 have not exactly distinguished themselves in either AAU or at USA basketball. Players such as M.Williams, Kitts, Cunningham, Del Rosario, & Prosper playing sub par also means more attention is bound to be focused on the kids that are playing well.

JMO, I’ve felt for two years that Arnold is the best PG in the ‘23 class based just on talent and the more she plays top competition her confidence is really expanding as she sees how well she can handle it. I haven’t seen enough of Samuels to be sure but it’s certainly possible that her UConn recruitment has attracted more attention. She has a lot of potential and her athleticism and effort seem to be really good. I think consistency is where she needs work, particularly her shooting which seems to be a little streaky. But that should improve the more she gets to play against better talent.

Sounds like Q's upped her game around May when UConn first noticed and has kept it up.

KK seemingly has had a terrific summer, but she was already composite 8th rank.

The event Geno and CD attended Sunday:

Teagan Colvin (2024 | Northwest Blazers 17U | Liberty, Wa.)

Colvin is one of the top recruits in the Class of 2024 playing up at the 17U level. She finished with a modest seven points in a win over West Coast Elite, but she left her mark all over the game. Colvin also tallied seven assists and sprinkled in some rebounds and steals as well to round out her statsheet. She controls the game with the ball in her hands, easily getting into the lane where she is a crafty finisher and a playmaker. She didn’t let too many shots fly but a pull-up three in transition was pretty.

Offer her before she changes her mind!
Based on the Youtube time stamp, this clip was uploaded Jul 29, 2019
In the video she is a 6th grader. Jenica is legit but she only going to be a HS freshman this fall. As of spring 2022 she was reported to be holding 18 offers from these high-caliber DI programs.

Geno still at the GUAA in Pennsylvania today and likely watched the U17 final that featured Teagan Colvin and Cameron Rust. Colvin's younger sister (2027) was also playing and she's a potential elite prospect.

A Rust highlight from the game:

Another title game at the GUAA today has as many big prospects playing in it as I can recall. Just a few are Joyce Edwards, Jaloni Cambridge, Zamareya Jones, Essence Cody, Reniya Kelly, Darriana Alexander, Courtney Ogden, and contender for #1 overall in 2025 Zakiya Johnson. This game went 5 overtimes. I would be shocked if Geno and CD weren't watching.

Got some clips of this game to follow.
