I think so. The question is does he leave as a first round pick or come back and shoot for being a lottery pick?
Is this a joke? First round would be incredible for AK. He's put in as much work as possible and should absolutely cash in at the end of the season if there is a draft opportunity

He could shoot 60% from three, be player of the year and still wouldn’t be a lottery pick. If it looks like he’ll get drafted, he should go.

Indications I've received suggests it's a conscious thing. Portal first priority, and perhaps being a bit more stingy with offers in order to match the current program prestige (ie you don't see Duke/UK offering early, they wait and jump in late).
I get the portal thing, but the second half of that is interesting. I trust the staff, but I do feel like one of our major advantages on the recruiting trail with top recruits in the Hurley era (Bouk, Jackson, Castle) was discovering them early and locking them up before anyone else can swoop in. Staff has seemed to have an advantage of discovering diamonds early and at a high enough success rate I’m surprised they’d change that up…

Creepy video, but UConn is mentioned in there (by Trilly, not Joson). But I'll take what I can get

Nope, it's question.

Yea, so I guess that's my question, could he materially improve his stock from this year to the end of next year and if so does that justify the deferral of years earnings? Your answer is no.

Creepy tbh

I like him. He seems like a great kid, albeit a man a few words.

So apparently, Trilly, is the Emperor from the Star Wars movies.

Anyone think we have any real shot at getting him? We could really use another piece for the 2024 Class but it doesn’t seem like he’s coming here.

.-.
His visits make no sense. I never really care about missing out on players with lists like that when the clear best option is close by. There's usually a reason for it.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I’d like us to take some of our NIL transfer bag and put it into another 2024 recruit. Especially if Sanon re classes into 2024.

I think we will be set at Guard with Nowell next year.. I think he starts day one.. and he is going to be a very impactful player for us
The only guards on the roster that will be here next year are Diarra and Ball. They for sure need to hit the portal and or reclass kid to get more guards

Yep spot on. I love what both Samson and Hassan bring off the bench and the obvious improvements both have made since last year. But they still need to be bench pieces next year too or we’re going to be in a bit of trouble I’m afraid. Portal is huge (or reclass, recruit change of heart maybe due to coaching change).

For my money, I think Diarra and Ball will be starting unless we get someone in the portal. We've only started a freshman point guard once and that was 25 years ago. Physically Nowell could start, but from a leadership perspective, thats a lot to ask. But even more so our defensive and offensive schemes are too complicated for any freshman to come in right away and start. He would need to do a Karaban. But running point is more difficult than what Karaban had to do.
