I love JC as much as the next guy here, but seriously? He was the Brett Favre of college basketball for the last few years of his career. He was and is certainly loyal but "stable" isn't the first word that comes to mind.

JT's last seven years, he has 3 round of 32s, 2 first round losses and 2 NIT's. The year before that he reached a final 4 with Hilbert and Green who I believe were Esherick's recruits. Gotta give the man props for his salesman skills.

I get what people are saying about Govan being a "below the rim" player, but aren't Elijah Thomas and Diamond Stone both in that camp as well? Both are beefy dudes who are not known as high flyers by any means.

I've never seen Thomas play but Stone is explosive. Definitely not the lumbering type.

Agreed give me baptiste, diallo, sharma. I want the long athletic 5 that can block shots, score in transition, play above the rim. Fits our style better.

Diallo is not gonna happen.

We need a big for this class. Who do you see as our most likely land? At this point..

Some of the sour grapes in this thread are incredible. It sucks we missed out on a highly rated big guy, but we clearly wanted him. Ollie clearly wanted him. Good for Georgetown, sucks for us, no need to dump on the kid or pretend we're above him. You can't win 'em all in May.

All things considered, winning 'em all in March and April is cool, too.

To be fair, the posters who you call "sour grapes" guys were grousing about him BEFORE he committed. I wanted him at UConn but that sentiment wasn't 100% unanimous on this board..
