2026 Recruiting: Jerzy Robinson

Expert Says Dawn Staley’s Chances of Landing Top 2026 Guard Could Be Impacted by Ex-USC Staff Joining Gamecocks Expert Says Dawn Staley’s Chances of Landing Top 2026 Guard Could Be Impacted by Ex-USC Staff Joining Gamecocks

Former Tempe Arizona guard maybe leaning toward South Carolina.

Notice the absence in the below excerpt

According to On3 Talia Goodman, “Jerzy Robinson has kept her recruitment fairly quiet but the South Carolina Gamecocks are actively pursuing the 6-0 guard. Robinson, though, will have her pick of nearly every top program in the country including LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon and USC. I don’t see Robinson making a decision any time soon, but USC assistant Wendale Farrow coming over to South Carolina can’t hurt the Gamecocks’ odds.”

Later on in the article (for those who use the "TLDR" excuse: Too Long Didn't Read):

"Robinson hasn’t rushed to make her college choice, which gives programs like South Carolina plenty of time to build strong relationships and show what they offer. While Robinson isn’t able to take any visits yet, she noted that UConn, South Carolina, and LSU are schools that have stood out to her so far."

I like Geno & CD's chances. Possibly a 1st night visit & a verbal commitment...

Go Huskies!!!

I feel vaguely disappointed that she's not from New Jersey. It's like a false advertising, kind of a thing.

Before handing her that pen you should check out post #32 in the Ivanna Wilson Manyackaca recruiting thread. Ivanna snatches Jerzy's soul!
Perhaps not a fair comparison, IMHO. But it was an impressive highlight video.
Ivanna Wilson Manyacka (2027) is a 6'2" forward (per the USA Woman's BB team webpage. Jerzy Robinson (2026) is a 6'0" guard (per the USA Women's BB team webpage. Post #32 has a contest (probably) between the best two players on
their respective teams. I doubt we would ever see that match up in a
regular game. (?) Put Ivanna against Sarah, 6'2", or Yanna Patterson 6'2", or
a similar aged POWER FORWARD and I believe
the comparison would be more impressive (if Ivanna held her own).
I still like them both! On the first post for IVANNA in the BONEYARD
recruiting page, 2024, she was listed as a GUARD! I see her as the FORWARD
(Power Forward) as she was listed as on the recent USA WBB webpage.

Jersey is not exactly a string bean. Plus, in the highlight reel the player you labeled a power forward was quicker and faster than the player you labeled a guard.

Jerzy is a big strong kid, not a speedy guard. But she’s quick enough to make her size a problem for defenders. I’ve only seen a few highlights of Ivanna, but quickness seems to be an important feature of her game. Rather like Blanca, she’ll pose a serious problem for defenses: smaller guards will struggle with her height and larger forwards will be hard pressed to keep up with her.
