@insidemdsports: If you follow recruiting, you'll think I'm crazy. But I'm hearing #DePaul may be a legit sleeper for the JaQuan Lyle-Cliff Alexander duo.

Ok, still seems weird tho that he announces he's going to take a visit to a school that didn't want him. Maybe he was trying to wish it into existence.

Yes, it's weird.

The city is laying out hundreds of millions for DePaul's new arena. If Chicago politics is also not spreading cash to the affiliated AAU people, then they don't know how to do business.

Michigan State is actively recruiting Lourawls(?) Nairn, a point guard who is from Kansas,

Is there really a kid called Lourawls? I guess we know what his parents were listening to at the moment of conception.

I would've rather had Newberry in for a visit ASAP, seems like going after Lyle is a waste of time

Even though the linked article in the OP stated this was going to be an official visit, it will probably be an unofficial visit. Word is that Lyle hasn't passed (or taken? not sure) the standardized test yet.

You don't have to pass, you just have to take it.

The way these chi town affiliated players do buisness is sickening. Who ever sends Lyle and Alexander the blank check first will win the contest... We all knew that lol Why do we waist threads and times on kids like this

Hope Snider doesnt get upset RT @wischlist: Per his prep school coach, Illinois visited Jaquan Lyle this week? Well, that's certainly...

He wouldn't be wasting his weekend on an official if he wasn't seriously considering us as a finalist. I also expect the UConn staff wouldn't host him if he's such a waste of time..

It appears there's some question about Lyle and his visits. TCF reported that Cassell and Kasongo were at Geno's, but not Lyle. He also said there is some question about whether Lyle has taken the SAT. Couple that with his definitive statements that he is taking official visits to places like Arizona (they aren't recruiting them) and there is more than enough questions about his status.

That guy needs to get another brain cell so he can then rub the two of them together. Groce is recruiting Lyle's Huntington Prep teammate with the hyphenated last name. whose in the '15 class, not Lyle. Illinois pulled out of the Lyle sweepstakes this past Spring.

Something is not adding up with the Lyle recruitment. He announced a preliminary final four of UConn, Arizona, Kansas, and Memphis last week (or at least those are the schools he was supposedly visiting), only one two of those schools (Kansas and AU) have yet to offer him. Then we hear he has yet to pass the SAT, and that's one of the reasons his visit to UConn this weekend is being deemed an unofficial rather than an official. This causes me to wonder if certain schools like Arizona and Kansas are approaching him cautiously because of academic concerns.

Xavier Rathan-Mayes, who we recruited in 2012, was also from Hunington Prep. He too, had an affair with the SAT's. He was deemed ineligible.

Hopefully Lyle can sort his academics out and commit on his visit.

This whole thing is confusing and a bit worrisome given the NCAA's views on Hunington and Finley Preps.
