Please no one get their hopes up for Lyle. Alexander and Lyle are the two biggest targets for KU right now and they have ample playing time for both. They are visiting on Late Night, probably one of the greatest spectacles in college basketball (Wayne Selden and Joel Embiid both committed that night or shortly thereafter). I love Ollie, but he is not on the same level as Bill Self and Kansas just yet. Obviously the visit is a great start, but some people hear act like teenage girls and fall in love with any recruit that shows the slightest interest.

I haven't read a single post like you described in this entire thread.

That being said, I was never under the impression that schools didn't tamper with verbals committed elsewhere.

In basketball they traditionally don't. In football they mercilessly recruit (tamper?) until they sign on the dotted line.

Arizona is not recruiting JaQuan Lyle. So that visit won't be happening.

Interesting. So, Memphis, Kansas, and UConn? Hmmmmm, Kansas is in on a lot of kids.

Newberry, Lyle, Oubre, Alexander, Tyus Jones, Okafor, Myles Turner, Rashad Vaughn, Winslow, Johnson, Pope, etc.

The best thing for UConn would be for Tyus Jones to commit to Kansas.

How do you set a visit for a school that isn't recruiting you?

He did it because Alexander is visiting there that weekend.

I imagine Arizona didn't want their PG recruit getting second thoughts.

Ok, still seems weird tho that he announces he's going to take a visit to a school that didn't want him. Maybe he was trying to wish it into existence.

Why dose everyone think he'll committ this weekend? He's still a long shot for us.

I've always pictured KU as the leaders to get an Oubre-Turner combo. Imagine if they pulled that off and got Lyle-Alexander! Even Cal would owe Coach Self some respect. On that note, I've oft thought of Alexander as a MIST lean. He could step right in for Payne/Dawson. Therefore, if this really is a final three, which is unlikely, then I cautiously think we could pull it off.

Kansas was not recruiting Lyle at any point, as far as I know. I'm not sure they even are now.

Well if Alexander goes to Michigan State we all know they'll have plenty of minutes available for Lyle.

Michigan State is actively recruiting Lourawls(?) Nairn, a point guard who is from Kansas, I think off the top of my head. He's visited East Lansing already. However, if Lyle is not super adamant about playing PG, MIST would be a good place for him. However(again), I haven't seen them linked yet.

Lyle is begging Kansas to take him. So, this is a longshot. Would be surprised if Kansas had no interest. If so, why not?

Where have you seen Lyle begging Kansas to take him?

If they offer, he said he wouldn't turn them down. He likes them a lot.

I guess I just don't consider admitting he would have a tough time saying no to them "begging", but I agree he appears to be Kansas' if they want him.

Kansas is targeting J.Okafor, C.Alexander & M.Turner as their top "Bigs" priorities. They won't get all 3. I think their top priorities are T.Jones & J.Okafor, along with Puke & KenSucky. I've read things about M.Turner considering SMU, but I think Kansas is right up there too. Not sure AZ is a realistic destination for C.Alexander since they seem to be stocked with bigs. Now if C.Alexander would open up to UConn, I'd be all giddy about recruiting again...
