For the Bart Torvik lovers in the house. There is one specifically I can likely flag 50 laughing faces to because I school him every time ;)

Not sure what this has to do with my post about the committee looking at injuries, but cool. I think that seed will change when we get McNeeley back and start to rack up good wins in the back half of the Big East schedule

Texas up on Mizzou 51-50 with 3 minutes left, would help UConn's metrics with a win

We are undefeated with Laim on the mainland. I think that’s pretty amazing. Including sweeping a pretty solid noncon slate.
This isnt our fault, we tried to schedule good, but if you actually take a look at it as it stands today, our non-con slate was mediocre. Our 2 "best" wins Baylor and Gonzaga have fallen off a cliff. Texas on the road may end up being the best win, and they arent exactly lighting the world on fire. Not to mention the Maui debacle is looking worse that it already is with Dayton going in the dumpster in the A10 and Colorado being even worse that we already knew.

Our tourney resume is really weak. It pains me to say it, but as of today we arent a tournament lock. I think we will absolutely make the tournament, but there does exist a plausible scenario where things could go very bad. The next couple weeks leading up to Valentines day could be a real bad time. Xavier, Marquette, Creighton on the road and St. Johns at home. We have to find a way to split those. Have to.

At Xavier without McNeeley feels a bit unlikely. We never win at Creighton. Marquette on the road is likely without McNeeley or it's his first game back. Need to win our home games against Johnnies and Marquette. Our away game against the Johnnies is when Liam should be back and at full strength and we're hopefully humming at that point.

To further compound Cal's issues, Boogie Fland now out for the remainder of the year with a hand injury. He's been arguably their best player. Things looking bleak in Fayetville.

Houston is wild / absolutely dismantles bad teams by killing their will early. Then they lose to good teams or get taken to wire.
Spread fell from 19 to 17.5. Idiots.

Arkansas comes back from 15 down to beat Georgia at home for their first conference win, disappointing, I wanted to see Calipari starve

Watched FLA State and Cali, WVU/ASU, Texas A&M/Ole Miss and NOT to begin another thread about bad calls but there was more holding and pulling cutters going uncalled in some of those games than Dan Hurley or any of us see in an average UConn game

I was secretly rooting for Arkansas to be winless when they went to Rupp. Owell.

Penny can't screw around with another subpar AAC season after how they did in non conference. That's how it played out last year, already one loss to Temple and struggling with Wichita St at home tonight.

Too close to Saturday. No more college football so everyone plays Sat/Sun Tues/Wed.
There is Nova/Marquette on FS1 and Michigan/Purdue on Fox tonight.

But I was searching for sports last night (Thursday) and couldn't find much of interest either. This is probably affected by demise of PAC12 since they used to play Thursday/Weekend games.

Here is a link to a related story.

Braden Smith took out the frustration of Ohio State loss against Michigan- unbelievable performance tonight.

The flaw in this big guy lineup May roles out is that they turn the ball over a ton, to an egregious level. 22 tonight against a team that isn’t overly athletic. I’m not sure what they would look like against a StJ type of roster. Might be their krytponite. Wolf in his last 5 games has games with 7, 6 and 4 TOs. It’s great that he can handle at his height, but not sure how useful it is when he’s giving it away that often.

The Wolfman with an epic 4 points and 2 rebounds.
Slow and unathletic sound familiar? Just being Richard but I think there was a BY opinion that he wasn’t the answer. Others have him in first round. Take your pick.

Rutgers down 11 to MSU at the Garden with under 3 min to go. I can't believe Pikiell couldn't make something out of this team with 2 of the best frosh in the country.
