Texas just doesn't run any semblance of an offense. Almost like Arkansas but with worse talent (as a team).
Texas didn’t play last night. But yes Terry is one of if not the worst coach in American, alongside guys like Woodson and Cal. Cal has bottomed out.

Arkansas is 0-4 in league play after losing to 0-3 LSU. They may not win more than a few games in league play. Meleek Thomas must be excited to be part of the roll the ball out there and go offense.

Gotta give Cal credit. Not only has he been able to keep his fraud going for well over two decades now, he still has morons falling all over him to give him more money.

Bernie Madoff would be proud

It’s not like he doesn’t have talent this year. He has a holdover in Brazile once thought to be a lottery pick. He brought in 2 top portal guys in Davis and Aidoo, both who have played deep into the tourney. He’s got two of his own UK guys in Thiero and Wagner (burger boy), and 3 frosh burger boys in Knox, Fland and Richmond.

By all accounts that is a loaded roster, that he do nothing with. A Ponzii scheme indeed.

The SEC is a land mine. Unranked Missouri goes to Gainesville and knocks off #5 Florida 83-82.

#21 Ole Miss beats #4 Alabama in Tuscaloosa 74-64.

#1 Auburn and #8 Kentucky hold serve at home.
from bracketology yesterday morning before the big upsets:

It was only a matter of time before the quality of this year's SEC eroded its quantity of projected NCAA bids. Since somebody has to lose whenever one SEC team plays another, the league's bubble teams are living a game-to-game existence. A week ago, Arkansas and Vanderbilt were on the right side of the at-large cut line. Now, due to their combined 1-5 record in conference play, both would be hosting an NIT game if it were mid-March instead of mid-January. With Texas just behind the unlucky two, it's not wrong to say the SEC is a whisker away from 14 tournament bids. But the reality is there's a reason the Big East's 11 bids in 2011 is a record that has lasted nearly a decade and a half. For now, it seems the SEC will recover enough to ultimately break the record, mainly because there are simply so many Quadrant 1 opportunities for its tourney contenders, but that outcome is no longer a lock. And the first weeks of league play have made it clear this topic will be a major Bracketology discussion point through Selection Sunday.

In all likelihood, the only path to the SEC not getting 12 bids is for both the SEC and B1G to each get 11.

Flipping thru channels just now and noticed Josh Pastner announcing the SMU-UVA game. I had no idea he was out of coaching. Even given his sketchiness and lack of success at GA Tech, I would've thought some school would want the guy based on his success at Memphis, NBA experience, and that he's still only 47,

Loss not gonna age well.
And they got blown out at home to George Mason tonight. They lost at UMass, you know the Mullins Center that struggles to break attendance of 1,000 people since Calipari left.

It makes Marquette look bad, too-they lost at Dayton.

We got smacked by 19 neutral site is the issue

Dayton, Colorado, Memphis, etc. Beating the team that beat UConn does have a nice ring to it. They are finding out.

We will be the “signature win” that may get a couple of those teams into the dance if they're on the bubble…

Texas was up 21+ on OU but it’s now a 5 point game.

I know, Texas just annoys me. So much talent, so little structure.

Texas falling apart at Oklahoma. Had a 23 point lead, cut to 3 several times. Tre Johnson just hit 2 big midrange buckets to probably seal the win, though.

Apparently Dayton sucks. 3 game losing streak to GW, UMass, George Mason.

2nd to last in the A10

Believe me I know. I was there sitting in the stands for that game when UConn got run off the floor and the Dayton fans were going nuts while were quiet as we were stunned and in disappointment.
Dayton player Iowa State tough in Maui as well. Right now, Dayton is teetering and it makes UConn and Marquette look bad.

No Comments on Kansas getting thumped by 17 at Iowa State? Jayhawks just aren't that good. I think Self is learning some lessons about transfers. Meanwhile Iowa State is #2 and looks like they have a real shot at a #1 seed.

I didn't want to say I told you so.

Kansas’ lack of perimeter shooting has been a pretty glaring weakness this season. I’m sure Self did not expect Dickinson and Storr to just fall off a cliff in that regard. Makes it far too easy to collapse on Dickinson in the paint. Griffen is a good shooter off their bench but definitely a weaker point defensively. They need some of these guys to pick up their shooting quickly.

Charmin Ultra Soft team. They're 360th in the country in free throws attempted this season.

There is something off with Self and the Portal - gets guys and then just socks them to the bench. He has no idea how to assimilate them. Then there's Barnes who takes them and makes them his centerpiece, successfully. This evaluation clearly is more of an art than a science.

Right now it feels like the all portal team to date is:

Haggerty - Memphis
Lanier - Tennessee
UK team

Seems the trend that works is taking rising players from mid majors or low end high, or out of highs that currently have a bad coach/system (ie Reed). Guys like Griffen and Storr are available for a reason.
