January - Other Big East Games

big difference in offensive game between Nunge and Kulkbrenner.

Kulk is offensively limited but puts so much pressure on the defense with his pick and roll to the rim.

Nunge and Kalkbrenner are both huge difference makers. Something that McDermott and Miller realize, and Hurley apparently does not, is that you can’t teach height.

McDermott gonna pull it off? Seems like this is a yearly thing with him. Struggle early on and dominate second half of the season

McDermott is playing the hand he was dealt, but Creighton would be 15-5 and ranked if Kalk doesn't miss 3 games. I don't think he was 100% for Nebraska either, so an argument could be made for 16-4. It will be interesting to see how the Selection Committee ranks Creighton because of Kalk's illness.

What did Kalk have?

Did Miller bench one of his studs because they’re not playing hard and put in a kid who hasn’t played?

Both teams' starting lineups are excellent. Alexander and Kaluma on Creighton were a top 100 recruits. Kalk and Colby Jones were 4 stars but not top 100. Were any of these other guys top 100?

This seems to be happening way too often. How does everyone seemingly play lights out against us and then immediately looks like crap in their next game

From what I can gather reading the BY it isn’t the players or coach so it must be the fans. Creighton had louder fans which helps them beat Xavier by 15-20 points.

Creighton has been my dark horse team since Kalkbrenner returned with good health.
He’s not skilled offensively but McDermott uses him very well. Defensively he’s a game changer

Maybe but it's humbling to watch Creighton whip Xavier and St John's in Omaha after those teams beat UConn
Which leaves out the other half of the equation, when we easily handled Creighton in the middle of this down stretch
