Really kicking myself for not betting PC -5.5 harder. Need to make it for that kick in the balls yesterday.

Have to hand it to Cooley. Providence didn’t look good at the start of the season, but they are showing improvement and are about to go 4-0 in league play. Good guys need to leave PVD Wednesday night with a W.

8 new players, gotta build chemistry. With the exception of last season and one other, pc always starts a little slow but always finishes in top 4-5 in the conference since realignment.

Turns out Kalkbrenner was pretty important to Creighton.

St. Johns has some talent, but they need to dial back the crazy. A little crazy is OK, but it is at 11 right now, and it should be at 8.

‘Nova and Georgetown currently tied at halftime. Interesting.

Interesting? Yes. Quality ball? No.
Georgetown D has been better than I expected. Villanova lost Longino late in 1st half. But yeah, not the best basketball.

How bad was it?

I was in my garage on the treadmill watching the game on a tablet. Midway through the first half one of the tension springs snapped. The garage door was down and not moving. Just static tension and the poor quality of the bball snapped rolled, coiled, steel.

The good news is this game should finish on time, no OT or messing around with multiple timeouts at the end.

It's like they can only do one thing at a time. Either play defense or play offense.

Thad Matta looks and moves like he is 70 years old. I don't see him having a long tenure at Butler.

6th place Villanova is the highest ranked Big East team to have lost a home game. It lost to Xavier and Marquette. Providence, UConn, Creighton, Marquette and Xavier have not lost a home game yet.

Kadary Richmond and Tyrese Samuel are ripping Butler apart

Samuel: 15 points on 7-9
Richmond: 9 points and 6 assists

7 and a half to go in the first half

This Butler/St. John's game is so sloppy. St. John's taking advantage of Butler's lack of athletes and smothering them on D, but man, do the Red Storm take some awful shots between Curbelo, Posh, Jones and Addae-Wusu. I like Soriano, though, good big who keeps his game simple.
