Larrier had terrible averages at VCU, he was playing above that in his few games.
I said last summer.

ESPN has him at 55 as of last week.Seems like Carey is ranked right around 80. Do we know what's separating him from being top 20-30 like many of the guards we've been targeting? Or is he due for a bump?
I've never seen him play.
Larrier said on his Instagram live during the draft that this would be the last NBA draft he watched on tv...count on it. Guess we will wait and see.

He's one of the better scoring guards in the class, but his passing/distributing is not where you'd expect a starting PG's to be, and this is his first summer where he had a strong 3P%.
I told my wife the same thing, but that was because the coverage stunk.Larrier said on his Instagram live during the draft that this would be the last NBA draft he watched on tv...
CV said the same as well. Just implying a "work mans attitude" as the great Niels Giffey once said.Larrier said on his Instagram live during the draft that this would be the last NBA draft he watched on tv...count on it. Guess we will wait and see.
Kobi Simmons left and was on no ones radar...I think there's only a small chance Larrier leaves after this season. He hasn't played in basketball games (besides a few) in over 2 years. There's no buzz about him right now and I think it's going to take him a while to get going. So unless he just tears it up and takes UConn on a good run at the end of the season I think he's off the NBA's radar. It's obviously possible he leaves for the NBA after the upcoming season but I don't think it's probable.
Kobi Simmons immediately signed a summer contract with Memphis. He's probably got an NBA future regardless of when he left.Kobi Simmons left and was on no ones radar...
Sometimes these kids just want to be paid NBA or otherwise. Larrier will be age wise a senior and likely will not want to put off a paycheck for another year even if it's in Turkish lira

I feel like larrier is in a similar position to purvis after a few years in storrs, good player but not nearly the prospect that they were once touted as. He is coming off a major knee surgery that usually changes the direction of a players career. Adams is the guy who is most likely the leave, he's going to have a monster year next season. So Carey is 100% crucial
So creepy......Instead of celebrating his son's third birthday Bunkey should be partying with Carey.
So creepy.

What are you talking about? All the 28 year old men with children party with 17 year olds. I do it all the time![]()
Watching drafts is about as boring as TV can get. Larrier finally realized it.

Let's not count out Gilbert. The kid looked stellar in the few games we saw from him. The speed of the game was not too much for him. His jumper looked decent and he was getting into the lane at will. He, Jalen and Terry will be fun to watch this season. Let just hope we can protect the rim and rebound. My eyes saw a very valuable Terry Larrier in just a few UConn games. I expect him to be transformative in getting our Team to a higher level. He might be our best player. With a dynamic Jalen Adams as well.
Of anyone on the roster, Terry Larrier has the best chance at being a 1st round draft pick. He's 6'8" with handle, good moves, a sweet-looking jumper and elite athleticism. We'll see how he recovers from the knee injury but it wouldn't shock me if he was our top scorer this year (15+ ppg) and leaves early as a 1st round lock.My eyes saw a very valuable Terry Larrier in just a few UConn games. Both are older prospects but neither are projected first rounders.
Larrier was a projected first rounder until his injury.
Right, but we don't live in that world anymore.
Definitely not. The kid hasn't played competitive basketball for more than 3 games in a row since 2015. He was a young, raw prospect with a lot of potential back then. Now he's had a major knee injury, is 2 years older and needs to show development rather than potential. 2 years ago, and even last year, he could have been drafted on potential. By June 2018, after 4 academic years in college, he needs be drafted based on production. Scouts look at a player in Larrier's stage of development way different than a guy like Jonathan Isaac. Different world for Terry than it was last year.??? If he comes back and plays well, it's the same world.
