Definitely in response to KO's statement this morning and I absolutely love it. The kid has swag combined with a good work ethic. He's buying into what KO is trying to do. These are the kids we have always thrived with. I would not want any other point guard in 2015 besides Jalen. The kid is meant to be a husky.
I have to agree with this. He is the 1 we want over ALL the others.

He took Enoch to school at 1:35
Enoch looks like a big man who's too big in high school, kind of like Drummond in college compared to the pros. Looks like he doesn't want to hurt anyone. He needs to be a bully. I think he'll be very very good here at uconn. Needs to put in the work. Can't wait for adams. Kids got so much confidence and loves to win

Now 23 in new rivals rankings (up from 26)
Now 29 in 247, up from 50. By their count he's the consensus No. 24 overall recruit.

Let's hope he outperforms that from Day 1.

Meyer has 30 5 stars in his latest rankings, that seems to be a bit ridiculous IMO.

Excited does not even describe how I feel about seeing this kid play for us this season! October can't come soon enough!

He is like a more athletic version of Bazz. With Jalen, this team's ceiling is limitless.

He's not the shooter Bazz is/was. He's also taller. Aside from playing PG and having some of the same ball handling, I really wouldn't compare them to each other. He compares better with someone like Reggie Jackson IMO.

Bazz was an ok shooter freshman year. It took him four years to become what he was

Not saying JA will become this, but I honestly see a young (pre-injury) D-Rose. A little smaller, but not much. Ridiculous hops and speed. Not quite the same freakish athlete, but probably a better passer at this age, and probably a better shooter. High praise, but warranted IMO.

Not sure if this is a repost, but this video shows the kid has heart just seeing his raw emotion. A true Husky. He will bleed blue!

This was I think 3 years ago at Endicott College, and I was there watching since I was a student at Endicott. Watching him play and seeing him hit that buzzer beater, I was said to myself "wow that kid needs to be a Husky."

I don't know. Considering that there are 320+ Division 1 teams and each brings in about three recruits a year, that translates to about 1000 recruits total. Listing the top 30 as 5 star doesn't seem ridiculous.

It sounds weird until you do the math...

I thought the top 100 players were divided into equal tiers of 20 for each star level.

You thought there were 1 star recruits at the D1 level?

There are 4 stars who aren't top 100.

Thanks for the clarification. Obviously I'm not a star gazer!

typically a recruiting service will rank stars based upon certain criteria and that includes high school performance, projected college performance, and projected professional potential. So there may be 15 5 stars one year and 23 the next. everyone else is a 4 star in the top 150 or so. and then a huge group of 3 stars that comprise most of the high major d1 players. then 2 stars and some 3 stars go to small d1 schools.
