Are we watching the same game? What are you talking about? It's mentally soft players. Full stop.
I mean Sanogo front ended a wide open layup to go up 3 with 50 seconds. That’s not coachingIt's definitely still coaching. That's a big part

No, but Sanogo on the floor instead of Clingan to defend against a final shot up one sure as hell is.I mean Sanogo front ended a wide open layup to go up 3 with 50 seconds. That’s not coaching
It's definitely part coaching. Both seton hall and St johns can't shoot. We play a 2-3 zone with DC in the middle we don't get in foul trouble and we don't lose. Seton Hall is small - now way they could handle the both of them on the Offensive end. Instead we adjust our lineup to the other team's lineup like we always do. And how Clinigan wasn't in to protect the rim at the end there is a coaching felony!!!!It's mentally soft players. Full stop.
Screaming is wonderful.. However he was invisible in the second half, which is ridiculous for a supposed lottery pick.. and worse yet, it’s a trendI loved seeing Hawk screaming in the huddle with before the final play.
Only to watch Sanogo and Jackson not even jump for a rebound.
If I were hawk, I’d be screaming the whole ride home for anyone who wants or doesn’t want to listen.
The transfer portal looked like a sexy move after the first 14 games. One season fill ins. Great against everyone except Big East players, Coaches and teams.
If Clingan is in on defense, he grabs that rebound and we win. That’s coaching.I mean Sanogo front ended a wide open layup to go up 3 with 50 seconds. That’s not coaching
ThisNo, but Sanogo on the floor instead of Clingan to defend against a final shot up one sure as hell is.
Hurleys fault? If Clingan is in on defense, he grabs that rebound and we win. That’s coaching.
It's all coaching. Hurley took the long process of building this thing and has talked nonstop about culture and toughness. It's now year 5 with nothing to show for it and we're still as fragile as it gets. Five seasons with a bunch of different players throughout and they always wilt. It's mentally soft players. Full stop.
Post in thread 'Has Clingan's successs caused Sanogo to press?'I mean Sanogo front ended a wide open layup to go up 3 with 50 seconds. That’s not coaching
No, but Sanogo on the floor instead of Clingan to defend against a final shot up one sure as hell is.
We wouldn’t be in that position if Sanogo would’ve made the damn layup lol. We didn’t lose because of “coaching” tonight. We lost because our players have turned into mental midgets at any sight of adversity and pressureIf Clingan is in on defense, he grabs that rebound and we win. That’s coaching.
Team should've never been in the position they needed a Sanogo put back to win the game. If the coaches had played just a couple of possessions of zone we would've won the game by double digits.I mean Sanogo front ended a wide open layup to go up 3 with 50 seconds. That’s not coaching
Can’t like this enough…sanogo didn’t appear to try for the rebound..it was like he was more worried about fouling outIf Clingan is in on defense, he grabs that rebound and we win. That’s coaching.
You're right, because SH only got 3 offensive rebounds in the 2h alone while he was on the floor. No chance he was giving up a 4th.If Clingan is in on defense, he grabs that rebound and we win. That’s coaching.
Who created the offensive and defensive styles? Who puts in the lineups? At some point the defending of the ineptitude has got to stop. That’s how we get here. Four years of this. That missed layup didn’t cost us the game. How about the 10+ turnovers in the second half trying to force feed sanogo and giving up a double digit lead. AgainI mean Sanogo front ended a wide open layup to go up 3 with 50 seconds. That’s not coaching
He's had good games and great games. Very few bad games this year so mentioning him for this game doesn't take away from coaching plays and what coaches allow. What about all losses prior? These kids need leadership from a point guard and better coaching.I mean Sanogo front ended a wide open layup to go up 3 with 50 seconds. That’s not coaching

Yes but it coaching too. The plan is designed for an inefficient high usage center. It was a nice thought but sample size is in. And then we added a big usage inefficient point guard. Nice numbers ( Newton last year at ECU, Sanogo last two years) but ultimately losing players to build around. Sanogo shot under 50 tonight that’s unacceptable for a center, I’ve been saying that for two years I didn’t even like his usage in creighton win. It’s long term fools gold. And combine that with how many turnovers we get trying to force feed him via coaching and we see what we get. Nice kid good player. Not a centerpiece. As long as he is a centerpiece instead of a piece this is us.It's mentally soft players. Full stop.
Can’t develop a leader at PG by bringing in transfers who don’t know the program. No PG leadership
Every final four team we have had, real PG leadership
