>>After Friday’s walk-through, the team will scrimmage Saturday and begin preparing for Wagner next week. Edsall said UConn had practiced with greater intensity during this year’s training camp than during his previous two summers.

“We didn’t have to back down or back away, and that’s the first time in three years we’ve been able to do that," he said. "Where that leads us, we’ll find out.”<<

While I appreciate that they feel they need to keep it tight to the vest, not knowing who your starting QB is this close to the first game is probably the most depressing thing this off-season. Really bad news...

I’ll worry if it’s not named by start of game week prep...

are they picking between a d2 transfer off an injury, a player who couldn’t get ahead of marvin washington on the 2 deep and a true freshman from canada with no fbs offers?

the problem aint the timing....

That's an interesting look from the defense. 3 lineman at least one of whom is a converted LB who can easily drop back into coverage and two LB's showing a blitz.
Good luck guessing where the pressure will be coming from. The right outside LB could also easily move into blitz position prior to the snap causing a right side overload.

Hopefully Spanos will be as good as Don Brown was at scheming a pass rush. Diaco and Crocker rarely had their blitzers at the line of scrimmage pre-snap.

You beat me to it.

Those other schools are struggling to pick between high 3 star and 4 star kids, where either one will do.

We're picking between 3 very different QBs in terms of arrival (3-star red shirt freshman, D2 transfer, and a P5 walk-on transfer). Not finding a window to choose there is pretty dire, IMO...
