It’s officially camp season...

lol williams may be running out of time. is rose still hurt?

do you need a tight end?
Seriously.

Too early to tell if Ryan Tracey is staying around too, I guess. What a joke.

Although, not everyone is ready to name a starter yet....

At Oklahoma..they waited until classes statred to name their starter...I think other programs are following suit....smart...keeps a kid from immediately transferring.

Putterman: Mike Beaudry named UConn football starting quarterback

Fuller: Mike Beaudry named starting quarterback at UConn

>>With Beaudry set to start in the Aug. 29 opener against Wagner, the Huskies continue a trend of starting the season with a quarterback who began his college career elsewhere.

In the last seven seasons, the only time a player UConn signed out of high school was the starting quarterback in a season opener came in 2014 when Casey Cochran got the call against BYU. Since 2007, Cochran is the only player to receive a scholarship out of high school to start the first game of the season at quarterback for UConn.<<

Any thoughts on who all these scouts came to see? Or is it a routine checkin?

From what Chief has seen this preseason - not as much of a sample as I like - but people will be surprised at how much the defense has improved. Spanos is a good coach.
In Chief00 I trust... music to my ears... Sounds like our bread & butter is making a big comeback

I think we've taken a step up in terms of QB talent/depth from years past.. Again, a lot depends on our OL though... Gotta put our QB(s), RBs, WRs, TEs in a position to make plays...

Kind of light at LB even for pass happy Os, no? They are going to play alot of people.

I was thinking the same thing, its really an aggressive 3-3-5 look as the 4th "lineman" is always standing at the line in a blitz position. The bright side is Fortt does hit like a LB. He and Morgan better be able to stop the run.

I know its a different game plus the roster redevelopment but just not use to seeing that group being so much smaller. Always pictured Fortt's place to be manned by someone of Eli Thomas' size.
