It’s Braylon Mullins Week

Braylon Mullins should be announcing his decision at E.O. Smith high school instead of his own high school. He's clearly not going to UConn.
Not saying this smart . But he doesn’t have to do it at his high school either. Reibe didn’t.

So are we feeling 100% confident here? I've felt really good the last couple weeks but always get slightly nervy closer to the date. I don't LOVE the fact that he's doing the announcement in his high school gym which will most likely be packed with lifelong Indiana fans. Am I overthinking this?
Him announcing at his HS where he'll have a bunch of friends, classmates, etc doesn't raise any red flags to me.

Reibe did his at his HS...
Didn’t realize that…but regardless it didn’t seem as if it was in front of a big crowd. Just saw him with his family.

99%

Trilly > UConn. He’ll sent his tweet tomorrow morning.

Every tea leave there is to read says UConn. IU fans have effectively given up. He and his dad have started following a bunch of UConn players, etc in last couple days (and not IU).

If anything the view was if he was doing announcement favorable to IU would have done it earlier in the day when all the students were still there. While there are some bitter IU fans many are happy for him and get it, more concerned with Woodson.

Great shooter, exciting prospect. Looking forward to him hitting a ton of 3s. Expecting a "more athletic Cam Spencer" is ridiculous. Wildly undersells how good Cam was last year.
Reminds me of Jordan Hawkins with a much better handle.

We just need to wait a little longer than 20 min.
Seinfeld had a great joke about people quoting '20 minutes' meaning there is no such thing and is code for anytime. Who is truthful when saying "be there in 20 min?"

This feels like the Hami Diallo recruitment but with Indiana playing UConn’s role in that one
Nah, IIRC there was some evidence that Hami was picking UK. I don’t remember the situation exactly but I remember watching his decision live expecting it to be UK.

That bozo friend of Ollie's stressed me out for a month over that recruitment

Young high schoolers being treated and paid like rock stars. So much for the student athlete. That concept is officially dead. College athletes are basically employees of the school now.

Wanna know something crazy? They've always been employees of the school. "Student athlete" was just a made up term to avoid paying workers' comp. And that's straight from the mouth of the guy who made it up.

"Collegiate amateurism is not a moral issue; it is an economic camouflage for monopoly practice." - Walter Byers, first executive director of the NCAA, repentant inventor of the phrase "student athlete."

No matter what he says about it, for many years the NLRB and others considered all students a separate category, and Congress went along. Student workers were excluded from paying taxes, they couldn’t unionize etc. The legal changes are recent and they’ve already forced colleges into eliminating student labor outside of sports. It’s a really weird world out there

“No matter what the guy who concocted the scheme says about it” is a wild way to frame a response.
