It was at least mildly amusing. Then again, I thought "Dude, where's my car?" was funny.

My apologies 4_ISU.

The box of wine crowd obviously have no manners today.

Thanks for posting the link. At the very least you'd think people would appreciate the honey in the bikini kissing some guy's crab.

I thought it was pretty damn funny, but then again, I know the guy who wrote it (I also write for the blog) and that probably influences how I read it.

.-.
that was so funny i forgot to laugh

The honey in the bikini is kissing what looks to be a spiny lobster - the kind you get in places like Florida and South Africa, not New England. I believe them when they say they did minutes of research.

You are correct on the spiny lobster. Ironicaly i have a "pet" that looks like a spiny lobster. I think a trip to the "pet" doctor is in order.

It had potential... but they needed to spend about 1.5 minutes longer with the Wikipedia page before writing it. When you're funniest bit is the silent 'c'... you might be in trouble.

.-.
I thought the smallpox part was a little funny but the rest wasen't very good

Connecticut is on the east coast, in that whole mess of states that makes up Northern New England.

Huh? Those Iowa State Hawkeyes have no idea what they're talking about

It's always funny to hear other peoples perspective on our great state, can't wait for those corn eating farmboys get here.

What do you mean? Isnt Maryland "Southern New England?"
No, Maryland is a dream job.

Far too many blatant inaccuracies for this to be considered funny. For instance, if the writer did his homework, he'd find that there are far fewer Patriots fans in CT than there are Giants/Jets/someone else fans.

Half of CT is a heavy NY lean, the other half is NE/Boston. Most people around the country would probably just lump us in with NE though.

.-.
Ah, that is correct. A job that only one FHCRE would only consider a dream. The Maryland state flag hangs above his head at night. A lover.

Kind of like quinnitukqut.

Native Americans of Quinnehtukqut

The Podunk

Podunk homelands in Connecticut today are the towns of East Hartford, East Windsor, South Windsor, Manchester, part of Ellington, Vernon, Bolton, Marlboro and Glastonbury

The Podunk - Hartford County..... their lands are marked Nowass

Podunk , means "where you sink in mire" a boggy place

Rentschler Field is in Podunk...Nowass if you like

I thought it was pretty funny.

"get ready for the clam chowder and tea-bag party awaiting you as you land. (that's called a "Connecticut Welcome"). " LOL!

Do they like lobster?
Connecticonians love lobster.

^^^ I do love me some lobster.

I question the part about Connecticut accents though. I've never heard that before. What exactly is a Connecticut accent? Is it like a hybrid NY/Boston accent?

Pretty bad when you mistake a blue state that went hook, line and sinker for "HOPE and CHANGE" for a Tea Party state. Will say she can kiss my lobster any time.

I thought it was funny

I couldnt find anything on average sense of self worth, but I'm guessing Willies is quite high

Slow down slick...it's pretty easy to find different rankings to meet the point you are trying to make. By the way...the IQ for IA and CT ...103.2 & 103.1 respectively has gone down a few points since this thread started.
