Morale has not improved, need more beatings!

Abysmal first half by players, coaches, managers, and the water boy.

Excellent adjustments (on defense especially) and Pitino and co. couldn't handle it. On to the next one.
Still a work in progress. Just win baby!

Iona shot all their bullets in the first half and were left empty in the second. 6-11 on threes in the first half (including 3 by sub-30% shooters), 1-6 in the second

I told my friend after about 10 minutes “if we play this way for the whole game, we win by 20”. By halftime I was getting NMSU flashbacks, but it held true. I don’t think we were playing really poorly. Iona just made the shots we wanted them to take

Oh and we have Adama Sanogo. They do not.

Onwards we go! Welcome to the Big East, Pitino

.-.
As I said in the chat, stay with Sanogo, he will eat them alive in the second half.

There are questions however about why we didn't adjust and go to Sanogo in the 1st.

What a second half out scoring scoring Iona, 50 to 24

Nice coming out the halftime with getting Hawkins a great look and back in the game along with the team picking up the defensive intensity.

Hurley also had the offense running full throttle right to the end which was good to see.

This one might be partially on me, boys.

I have a tradition of not wearing UConn garb unless I’m physically at the game (live in DC).

Today, at a watch party, I wore a very nice UConn polo. Down 2 at the half.

Fortunately, I was prepared for such an occurrence and had a bag with a normal, bland shirt on location. Changed at halftime and took the UConn polo off. The rest speaks for itself.

I will not be wearing a UConn shirt on Sunday.
