I like KY tonight against Baylor

What's happened to 40 Minutes of Dread?

Baylor has two very good dribblers in Sims and Johnson.

Sims has missed a lot of shots she usually makes. UK has nobody who can keep her in front of them. She is penetrating at will.

First of all, neither team can stop the dribble drive or make lay up's.......Poor defense and shooting is difficult with the big Arena back drop. UCONN's front line would knock the drible drives into the seats......Fun game to watch.......

Well - after that first half all I can say is thank goodness Uconn has Geno! Kentucky help defense is pretty non-existent (it is only slightly better than their on ball defense which seems to have stayed in Kentucky) and neither team is very impressive with their offensive sets. Baylor after playing four years of throw the ball to Griner offensive strategy now appears to be running the put the ball in Sims hands and let her breakdown the defense and either throw up a floater or dish out. In this particular game I would guess Stef, Stewie and Kiah would have about 15 blocks already regardless of which team we were playing.

What is up with Baylor's Nina Davis? Going into tonight on a per 30 minutes basis she was averaging over 24pts, over 10 rebounds, over 3 steals, 1.6 blocks and only 0.6 TO. Oh, and did I mention 78% FG shooting. I know the opponents have been weak but those are crazy, crazy numbers. As in I've never seen anyone other than maybe Maya put up numbers like that for more than a few games in a row regardless of competition.

And she's having a really good game against KY.

Kentucky on a nice run. Baylor kind of walks back on defense, especially after turnovers. You never see UConn teams doing that. Kim needs to stop whining and start coaching.

Walker could have been such a good player at UConn. She had so much potential and really did a great job in her few games as a freshman. I don't think she has progressed at UK at all.

What strikes me most is that if these teams are giving up thus amount of points, UConn, especially if at full strength, would put up big numbers against either and would not give up nearly as many points.

Let me just say I was completely wrong. Baylor is much better than I gave them credit for. I'm surprised to say the least. Super exciting and high scoring game. Nice to see so much offense.

I don't see Baylor coming within 10 of UConn...could be wrong, but our inside game is much stronger and I doubt Sims will get 41 against us. UK plays little to no defense.
