Huskies Putting in the Work

I have two thoughts:

  • Boy how I love these off-season practice videos.
  • Q is still thin, but she has added some muscle to that lean frame of hers, which will pay some serious dividends this coming season.
 
W0nderful video, We need many more. This Uconn team is the precursor of a Juggernaut coming in 24-25 that is going to shake up Women's BB. Uconn's future is unlimited in what it will be able to achieve. With Geno's new extended contract and all the players, it's going to be one heck of a ride, GO FRESHMEN!!! GO SOPHOMORES!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!

When you drop back and think about this squad, what we have is a Team of Shooters:

Positions 1-3: Azzi, Paige, Allie, Ash (Exceptional) (A-A+)
Caroline (Just short of exceptional but if healthy maybe in above group) (A-)
Q, (As Geno would say-really, really, really good ) (B+)
Kaitlyn, KK, Morgan (Solid-33%-35%)

Positions 4 - 5 : Sarah (Exceptional) (A-A+)
Jana, ICE (B -B+)
Aubrey (C - C+)
Ayanna ?????

I would put this group up against any other team and bet a dozen Connecticut lobster rolls.
 
This team is going to be able to spread the floor and cause all sorts of problems for opponents.

Jana, Sarah and Ice down low are going to be a handful. All 3 look like the mean business. And they can shoot from outside.

The quick passes and the guards shooting lights out. Kaitlin in this offense is going to be unbelievable. Give the guards an inch and they are down the lane quickly.

And obviously Paige, Ash, KK and Q.

You know this team is talented when you can discuss all the potential options you just discussed, without mentioning possible lineup options including freshmen Morgan & Allie, along with veterans Azzi, Aubrey, Ayanna or Caroline, assuming they all get back healthy and ready to go.

Not sure what’s going on in the picture but try releasing the ball in that position, even with a follow through.

Think of the elbow, forearm, and wrist working like a catapult.
