Huskies in the Pros (Baseball)

After his 5/5 night, KFed now hitting .312 in 16 AAA games with 24 hits, 5 HR's and 15 RBI. He even is 5/5 in SB attempts. His career minor league high is ,318 at Class A Ft. Meyers in 26 games in 2022.

My mistake - I was using 77 AB's instead of 67 - .358 v. .312. WAY more than his previous career high.

I’m watching Dodgers/Padres on FS1. Casparius just threw six pitch fifth inning to go 123. There are some fans dressed as Santa behind home plate. Apparently in honor of one guy’s birthday.

Talk about feeling it…

Fedko is a guy I wouldn't mind the Pirates picking up in the offseason. I haven't really followed his progression, but it looks pretty good. Struggle at a level, open next season at that level, conquer that, then struggle at the next level, rinse and repeat. And now he's essentially completed every level (although an argument could certainly be made for another couple hundred PAs @AAA).

Given his stats and that progression, I'm kinda surprised that MLB projections (e.g. ZIPS) seem very down on hiAnm, projecting a negative WAR and weak offensive numbers.

Not sure what gives with that. He may end up just being a AAAA guy, but given how he's conquered a new level each year, seems he'd be better than that.
