How can I watch an ESPN3 event?

That worked for me but it took several minutes to connect. Just in time to see UCONN score.
 
Had to beam the game to start from my phone due to some parental control error. But it's on now.

Regardless from the phone or espn on the smart TV, the video production is awful. Ball State/CMU was not this bad.

The glare off the turf is pretty bad. I feel like I am watching CT high school playoffs. Is this standard definition?

The field has shadows. That is division 2 level lighting.

Terrible broadcast…more commercials. Awesome. At least the sharpness of the commercials reminds me that it’s 2022.

On Hulu there are no commercials. Halftime had the band but no sound... ESPN should be embarrassed
 
Every time the red screen pops up, I expect the Marvel logo to show up next

Not aimed at you. The whining by adults throughout the game finally got to me. Sorry if you thought you were the target. The production was awful. Being 1500 miles from Miami I was just happy to see the game .
 
I too was happy to see them win but as someone who's worked on countless events for ESPN it was incredibly hard to watch. They didn't white balance the cameras. The tripod heads weren't fluid. The 3Play (replay machine) stuttered (as it usually does). The camera people didn't know how to run a camera and the director sucked. Add to that the internet problems, and they delivered this via SRT (internet) and we got a dizzying production. Perhaps their upload speed was dial up thus the red screens. But the Huskies win and that's all that matters.
 
Does anyone have an alternate link to watch a replay of the game? Tried to record through Hulu but it was a catastrophic fail.

You don't want to watch the game again with that production quality. Was painful enough watching it live.

Good god what a horrible broadcast. It was like they had a high school kid manning the camera, and they don’t know how to use the filters on the camera. Horrible quality.

Yes, several people made the high school AV club comment. When you have that many people independently making the same observation with the same comparison, you know it was a horrible production.

If you have ESPN+ you can watch a replay. Or I you have a friend or family member with ESPN+ or the Disney+ package that includes ESPN+ you can see if you can borrow their account to watch. Better yet show up at their house with a pizza and bottle of Dark Lord and watch with them.
 
The “red outs” and the dizzying camera swings were bad enough, but they also never seemed to have the right down and distance in the Chiron. It was a joke, but we ended up laughing at the inanity of the amateur production, thankful we could see it at all. Finding out how to set it up, then adding the code and nervously waiting—then finally seeing the game on screen made me understand how those lost in the desert feel when they see an oasis.
