Hernandez charged with murder

I've also read that he moved from CT because he wanted to get away from the whole father passing away thing. A fresh start and all that.

Who knows? The police recently said that they are not concerned with his tatoos in relation to gang activity. Additionally, fwiw, AH has claimed to the police that he was not affiliated with any gang or gang activity. If not, that makes his actions all that more ridiculous.
yup... gang members would admit their affiliation so they could be housed with their kind.

I just think that he's nuts... especially after his dad died. sometimes people lose respect for other and "dont care"... when a loved one dies.

Youre assuming that any gang he is affiliated from CT would have any pull or clout in MA prison system. This is very unlikely.

they're saying he's a Blood, they're in every prison system in America

When it rains, it pours:

Hernandez role in '07 shooting probed

Circumstantial, but there are a lot of similarities that it is hard not to be skeptical of, given what we know (or think we know) about AH today.

All this begs the question of whether there were multiple cover ups going on in Gainesville. And if Florida is going to cover up shootings, how can we trust their big ticket items like APR?

Not to knock your point, as it is valid, but I'd be a lot more worried about murder cover ups and the like.

I place doubt on 80%+ of all D1 academic reporting for major college sports. I assume it given and standard operating procedure.

I hear ya. I'm just following the NCAA's lead. That said, I can see losing a few scholarships for a murder cover up.

Gang s have sets. He could have killed a blood from mass. Now is not the time for ah ro be admiting he is part of any gang from a legal stand point anyway. Does anyone really doubt ah is in a gang?

Dunno at this point. If the latest down in FL is true, he might just be a ducked up, angry, and extremely stupid dude.

Google ah throwing up gang signs. The dude extradited from bristol is part of a set called doo wops or something like that in bristol, allegedly a blood subset.

.-.
Also google pouncy twin tattoos and see the "the artwork" and hand signs and tell me you think it was a coincidence ah was involved in an incident with those dudes in a club in florida. Dudes be banging they don't even try to hide it.

Absolutely no offense intended, but I can't be bothered. I'll wait until the authorities suss it out one way or another. Obviously, I would not be in the least bit surprised if he is in a gang and that these murders were gang related.

Oh I hear ya. Other than someone being killed I find the idea of a millionaire athlete from a good upbringing being a "banger" gruseomely funny.

I googled it and all I saw was a few kids with awful tattoos, nothing that would make me think they're in a gang. Also, half the dopey kids I went to high school with threw up gang signs and I can guarantee you none of them had ever even been in a fight, much less a gang.

Lol. Its what I mean. You aren't universally accepted as a blood or a latin king or any other gang across the country. ESPECIALLY in prison. You dong just walk in and present a card like its triple aaa something.

I'm thinking that good "upbringing" wasn't all it was cracked-up to be.

This is getting worse and worse.

"Taphorn did state that he had been contacted by legal staff and coaches with UF and that they may be working on an agreement. However, nothing is finalized."
"I advised him that if this was his final decision that he would have to contact the State Attorney's office," the investigator wrote."
Athough police recommended a felony assault charge against Hernandez, a juvenile at the time, no charge was lodged."

WTF - he didn't go to Jared's?

"In the apartment, authorities also found 11 boxes of ammunition, a bag from Kay Jewelers, paychecks from the New England Patriots and Puma, and a valet’s receipt from the W Hotel in Boston. They also report finding a Hertz rental car agreement, a Western Union receipt, and two sets of keys to a brand-new black Hummer that prosecutors say was registered to Hernandez."

I have to wonder if maybe this kid wasn't something less than an angel, myself. Wouldn't be the first kid to be given the royal treatment by teachers and locals because he was a star athlete. Clearly that happened in Florida. One wonders if it happened in Bristol, too. And by the way, I know a number of people who lost parents at vulnerable ages. Some had difficulties dealing with the situation, but I can't think of any who gunned down at least one, possible 3-4 people in cold blood. In fact I know they didn't. let's stop trying to use that to excuse this slimeball's behavior.

Not an excuse, just an explanation. Were those people you know surrounded by gang bangers growing up to (yes, I know some too)? Maybe he's just sociopathic. Who knows?

Some grew up in what would be called tough neighborhoods for sure. Certainly comparable to Bristol or worse. this guy clearly had other problems. I am open to considering that he was the real bad guy, not necessarily his friends. In other words, he attracted the thugs, not the other way around.
