I'd be 100% fine if the brackets came out this way. It would be a good path for UConn. Now comment away folks !!!

Women's Bracketology: First look at 2026 has familiar teams on top line
South Carolina, UConn, UCLA and Texas are the No. 1 seeds in our first projection of the 2026 bracket.www.espn.com
I thought he was being whipped.Wow. Creme is getting creamed in here. lol
My biggest concern, someone else mentioned on this board previously, and I can’t remember who it was? Is Charlie trying to be a “predictor” or an “influencer”? As you said, big concern is if someone on the committee doesn’t do their own homework. There should be no bias allowed when setting up the NCAA bracket.I don’t know why people are concerned or care about where Creme think UConn should be seeded. He is not one of the committees. I, however, am concerned that some of the people in the committee are too lazy to do their homework and rely on his bracketogoly when seeding teams.
Nobody should want to play Wash St. ; they are the team of destinySign UConn up for this latest bracket...sending Washington St. to Storrs?
Move up to a two seed??? They WERE A two seed in the last committee reveal and haven't lost since then. They are more likley to move up to a one seed than move down to a three seed with their current resume.Charlie usually does a pretty good job predicting the teams and their seedings in the tournament. This year he has a tougher job due to early upsets in the Conference Tournaments. I think its going to be tough for UConn to move up to a two seed due to their losses to St John's and Marquette. However, its possible that if UConn easily beats Nova, members of the committee may think that UConn is finally healthy and are now more deserving of a 2 Seed. However if staying at a #3 seed keeps them out of South Carolina's bracket, I'm all for that. If UConn gets moved up the a #2 seed, they'd likely be the 4th #2 Seed.
What I don"t like is he doesn't show UMASS making the tournament despite having a 26-6 Won/Loss Record. UMass lost to St Louis in the Championship game. There are other non power 5 schools with Great Season Records that won't make the tournament because P5 schools manipulate their Non Conference Schedule an then barely go 500 in their Conference Record.
Why would you want to avoid Stanford? All of their losses have come on the second game of a two game weekend. They are an ideal team to play in the elite eight as Stanford multiple days of prep and planning to prepare for their opponents due to never figuring out or cracking their own line-ups/rotations. JMO- I'd want to avoid Iowa, Maryland, Indiana and South Carolina to get to the FF for a mix of different reasons. I'm torn on Iowa because you never want to play a team with a player like Clark in the tournament because they can be deadly - on the flip side I think their defense opens them up to an early upset which would make the bracket they are in much easier.I'm not seeing how UCONN is a 3 seed, but that's a pretty ideal bracket for the Huskies to get back to a Final Four. Avoids SC, Stanford and Indiana. Iowa is red hot but UCONN has already beat them this season, and Virginia Tech is the clear weakest #1.

I actually think Stanford's ceiling is the most limited of the three teams you mentioned because they never figured out a consistent rotation that works and built chemistry around it. On paper their ceiling should be quite high but every game Stanford is a different team, and not in a way that is conducive to winning the NCAA tournament. These are all good point but I don't think Stanford is capable of getting out of the Elite Eight this year and I think their round of 32 game will be a bigger challenge for them than their sweet sixteen game. We shall see if this proves to be right. They're easily the most physical team in women's basketball aside from South Carolina and when they're on, they're really good. Jones has a tendency to play well in the tournament, and Brink has become of the best 2 way bigs in the country. Plus they're battle tested, have won it all before and have a brilliant coach in Vanderveer who still is at the top of her game. They haven't played well as of late but their ceiling is higher than anyone's beside South Carolina.
Iowa is a mixed bag since they can really light it up but they are not a strong rebounding team and Czinano has struggled against quality bigs this year (Edwards/Holmes). Agree they could be prone to an early round upset, though I think they'll at least make the Sweet 16 this year. I think they'll come out laser focused in the 2nd round.
Maryland is another team that can score but doesn't have any size, plus UCONN gave them a heck of a game with most of their roster out. I think UCONN would relish a rematch vs them in the Sweet 16.
Perhaps, but it’s difficult to measure any of those PAC12 teams what with the number of upsets. At different times throughout, there was maybe five teams that could have won the conference tournament. I wonder if Oregon and Oregon State will ever get back in the picture?Nobody should want to play Wash St. ; they are the team of destiny
Antonelli keeps on campaigning to get on the selection committee, on the air, during a game. No class.Wait until he retires, and they replace him with...Deb Antonelli. lol I thought she was going to cry the other night when Mowens (sp) suggested that UCONN could be a 2 seed. There was silence and then her usual rant of...'get me on the committee'.
The way Betts is playing now, she seems to get far too few minutes. Betts and Brink are a powerfull tandem. Stanford seems to lack a killer instinct, and keeps the opposing team in the gameThey're easily the most physical team in women's basketball aside from South Carolina and when they're on, they're really good. Every year without fail, ESPN picks some kind of post-season theme - Geno’s “feud” with Pat/Muffet, Shoni Schimmel & Louisville and their “style of play” vs Baylor, the locker room at the women’s tournament…and show something they deem “controversial”, beating a stupid drum over and over and over until everyone has picked sides and fans are all yelling at each other. For me its this:
The committee's two reveals have had UConn as a 1 seed after our Marquette loss a and then as the 3rd 2 seed after our St Johns loss. Since then, we have improved drastically and every team above us (except South Carolina) as lost 1-2 more games, in a lot of cases to teams not in the top 16. Based on what the Committee has done and said, a win today would make UConn a likely 1 seed or at worst the highest 2 seed.
However, Creme's narrative and then all the ESPN commentators yesterday going on about how UConn isn't even in the discussion for a 1 seed at this point and have them firmly on the 3 seed line. Where this bugs me is that when the actual brackets come out 50% of the narrative is going to be around the shock and awe that UConn is seeded so highly and the unfairness of it all - like last year and the Bridgeport regional thing. To me, its completely intentional on ESPN's part to set themselves up for a UConn is overrated storyline for the whole tournament - and I personally don't want listen to it.
