Sorry, disco was 2d worse. P was worst. We were P6 coming off fiesta, loaded roster and in midst of acc buildup. In a year we were bowl ineligible, losing talent and an obvious pass to P5.
He wasted the most talent of any coach in the last 50 years of the program.

We didn't seem to have it together on offense... something we've always seemed to have issues with.. .NOWADAYS, it seems like we figured out that side of the ball, but completely forgot about D.... total 180... and you need D to win games...

Moorhead had no input. They played Jonny Mac because he was most NFL style but not the best QB.

Lol!
2.5mm per season for 4 years. Crazy money for a coordinator. Probably makes him the highest paid asst. in college football with Sarkasian taking over at Texas. They bought a head coach in waiting, or wanted to take the media heat off another loss to Bama....or both. A Cincy asst. gets 2.5mm per, wild, wild stuff.

Yeah. I also think they were tired of getting lit up by good teams so hired the best defensive coordinator they could find.
It’s funny how Cincinnati is a feeder school for Notre Dame coaches.

That is life changing money for a coordinator gig. That's P5 money coming into effect. When we hired Diaco, we paid almost as much Clemson was paying Dabo at the time. Times have certainly changed when a coordinator is getting paid that.

Bill O'Brien was pretty good at PSU and was decent with the Texans. And he was QB coach/OC for the Patriots. Makes sense Saban will hire O'Brien as they both were assistants under BB

What a machine he has in Tuscaloosa. The combination of a bench of experienced basically free coaches and endless string of top recruits make them formidable every year.

But...I give saban credit...he has a ton of coaching turnover and they don't miss a beat. The common denominator is Saban.
