Makes me happy because of the beating he took here. He was an important contributor to an NC team.

The constant blathering about him was tiring. He was immature and his father is an idiot. It's no excuse for UConn fans to act like he murdered their dogs.

AO was one of the most frustrating UConn players of all time.

He could be so good some nights and just clean the boards and other nights he'd get a quick foul or miss a layup and pout and then go in the tank the rest of the game.

Thankful for his tournament run and I think if it wasn't for his imbecile father, he would have left a better legacy at UConn.

Don't know if I'd rank him with the all time frustrating team. When you are the third best player on a team the wins the National Championship I'll overlook some nonsense.

he was always overrated and deserved the bashing of the BY following period!!......part of the NC and a BIGGER part of the demise!!

I totally agree he was the 3rd best player on that national title team, but that to me, is what made him so frustrating.

He was great in Maui, MSG and the NCAAT, but his junior season, just seemed like a loss cause.

So he can never be classified as disappointing because of the title, I just thought he could've been so much more and had a Jeff Adrien type career.

Plus 10,000. It's not like UConn's sitting on a dozen national championships. The kid helped deliver one of three in the program's history. It's amazing to me that certain people are sad enough to continue to rip him. A national championship has bought a lifetime pass to kids a hell of a lot worse than Oriakhi.

Have to congratulate the guy on the accomplishment. Its life changing... Try to be happy for him. Will always show thanks for being part of the 2011 run.

As for his decline his junior year, his whining, and comments about the coaching staff I can only hope that he learns to stay humble and keep his mouth SHUT. Learn a lesson from that father of yours please.

Good news is this is probably the last time we'll have to talk about AO... Probably not though.

There's no point to wishing ill on the kid - I hope he hangs on with the Suns.

Some guys made some truly horrific decisions to go pro this year - specifically, you have to admire Mark Gottfried's ability to take talent and set it on fire.

The thing people forget about Alex's performance on the 2011 national championship team is that other than Maui and the Texas game, he had a pretty average regular season. He was even benched for the beginning of the BET. I appreciate him turning it on when it mattered the most, but with players with his talent that should not even be a worry.

Seeing him initially Jeff Adrien was a good ceiling for him.

Adrien was a special player. Most aren't wired like he was.

Other than Maui and the tournaments, they were a pretty average team. It's why they were 9-9 in the Big East.

Majok was drafted in about the same spot and he's had huge NBA minutes

So who knows, 2nd round is tough, but anything's possible.

He's in a good spot (or as good as could be for him) with the Suns. They are a woeful team right now and he could stick with them, though it won't be easy.

I don't wish him ill, but I'm not rooting for him either.

He earned that much by being a key cog in the 2011 run, but he burned bridges when he left. If he had just said that he just wanted another shot at a tournament run, and his father had kept his mouth shut, most would probably have cheered him on and even adopted Missouri as a team to root for last year.

As it was, I was actively rooting against Missouri last year. It would have been great if they completely missed the NCAAT, but one and out worked OK also.

Or like many bottom of 2nd-rounders, he'll never see 1 minute of playing time.

Isn't it kind of funny that the same posters who get their panties in a bunch whenever he is brought up on this board, are now bringing him up on this board?

I agree. F the guy. When the going got tough he got going. He is soft as and I don't owe him a damn thing. His character means more to me than his game.

Yes he's so soft he won an NC and was an NBA draft pick. He's the softest. Ruslan Inyatkin can sleep well tonight.
